The Mother Loaf: the restaurant's most traditional offering, is moist and intricately flavored—beef, pork, and veal are all used—and topped with some particularly creamy mashed potatoes.
The Motherloaf is a good, traditional meatloaf option. The gravy that is paired with it is delicious. It's not the most amazing food, but super friendly staff and it's a break from the usual.
The trips from the South Side just to get my favorite loafies is totally worth it. My other favorites include: MACNificient Pasta and Cheesy Taters scoop of mashed potatoes.
