Upscaleneighborhood restaurant serving your American cuisine staples like burgers, mac and cheese, in addition to bigger entrees like beef stroganoff! Brunch is the best meal but be prepared to wait.
My friend and I had the baked pestooysters. Very delicious! We both had the spinach frittata with hash browns and I had the asparagus. All had a bit too much butter on them. Service was excellent!
The full day of mealing starts with breakfast twists like a meatloaf hash, then hits lunch with a fried oysters/ slaw/ pickles/ remoulade "Oyster Peacemaker" hoagie. Read more
Missed the happy hour but got the steelhead trout and loved it. The Harissa sauce put a nice middle eastern touch and made it very unique. Also pictured is the bison burger with sweet potato fries
Awesome place, David was our server and was absolutely amazing. We had the sprouts Brussels, deluxe burger with sweet potatoes and a flight of champagne... Extremely satisfied!
The Lowry was a great low-key smaller option before January 1st 2024 New Years celebration. Food was Hot and Ready and the selection of items was 2nd to none. Definitely recommend !!! -GradyJ
The Lowry is hands-down my favorite brunch spot in the Twin Cities. The food is always outstanding and the Bloody Marys are spectacular. Service is always fast and friendly.
The tempuragreen beans are the best! So are the cheese curds (way better than the statefair) and the tomato soup is to die for, it has cheese melted over the top! My 3 fav things to get here!
Service was top notch & the food was sooooo good! Green beans were great, tomato soup was amazing and I can't even tell you about the Irish Cheesecake without my mouth watering. We had a great time!!
Cheese curds and the blueberryketchup are great, the chicken wings are possibly the best I've had and they have an amazing beer selection that always changes.
They have lots of #glutenfree options. Just ask your servers. They have toast, pasta, tortillas, and buns for burgers. #enjoy. Gluten Free. Love your tummy.
Voted top 10 mac and cheese dishes! A giant bowl arrives full of pasta, in a simply creamy, cheese sauce flecked with tiny bits of parsley beneath a smattering of golden breadcrumbs.
Voted top ten craft cocktail bars by City Pages! The Blue PlateRestaurant Company has made a name for itself opening restaurants that perfectly reflect the corners of the city where they live.
Gluten-free tip: their 4-cheese mac and cheese can be made with gluten-free pasta. They also have gluten-free bread for sandwiches (like the braised beef, which is awesome).
They just put millstream back roadstouton tap ... Amazing thick sweet iowa stout, try it. We ate at the bar, staff was amazing, very friendly and super helpful with avoiding a food allergy.
If there is a long line for brunch on the weekends, saddle up to the bar for one of the Lowry's delicious Bloody Mary's. Careful - they are on the strong side!
Their salads are well thought out. Restaurants in this city tend to not take salads too seriously but The Lowery is bringing me back to my salad days of yore...
I have to recommend the Bloody Mary's. The Lowry uses Svedka as the rail vodka for Bloody Mary's and the resulting drink is spicy, flavorful and powerful, but deceptively smooth.
Any place with whiskey on the marquee is awesome to me. But only one of their drinks has whiskey in it? Americano is a bit bitter. Battle Cat is fun. Beer in a cocktail? Nice.
Order the shirred eggs, with sauteed ham and mushrooms, crowned with lovely soft-poached eggs blanketed in truffle cream with grilled bread on the side. Read more
They have a pumpkin pancakes menu item right now which I had to try and they were absolutely delicious! However, like most of their plates, the serving size is too small to actually fill you
Don't get the cream cheese wontons if you are used to the traditional ones. These are served with a different twist, powdered sugar and chocolate sauce.
