- C ReyJanuary 3, 2017Upscale neighborhood restaurant serving your American cuisine staples like burgers, mac and cheese, in addition to bigger entrees like beef stroganoff! Brunch is the best meal but be prepared to wait.
- My friend and I had the baked pesto oysters. Very delicious! We both had the spinach frittata with hash browns and I had the asparagus. All had a bit too much butter on them. Service was excellent!
- IsameowSeptember 17, 2014Missed the happy hour but got the steelhead trout and loved it. The Harissa sauce put a nice middle eastern touch and made it very unique. Also pictured is the bison burger with sweet potato fries
- Clara ZVJuly 31, 2023Awesome place, David was our server and was absolutely amazing. We had the sprouts Brussels, deluxe burger with sweet potatoes and a flight of champagne... Extremely satisfied!
- Grady JohnsonDecember 31, 2023The Lowry was a great low-key smaller option before January 1st 2024 New Years celebration. Food was Hot and Ready and the selection of items was 2nd to none. Definitely recommend !!! -GradyJ
- Nathan WrightMay 30, 2017The Lowry is hands-down my favorite brunch spot in the Twin Cities. The food is always outstanding and the Bloody Marys are spectacular. Service is always fast and friendly.
- The tempura green beans are the best! So are the cheese curds (way better than the state fair) and the tomato soup is to die for, it has cheese melted over the top! My 3 fav things to get here!
- Katey TschidaMarch 28, 2013Service was top notch & the food was sooooo good! Green beans were great, tomato soup was amazing and I can't even tell you about the Irish Cheesecake without my mouth watering. We had a great time!!
- Cheese curds and the blueberry ketchup are great, the chicken wings are possibly the best I've had and they have an amazing beer selection that always changes.
- Spinach frittata is a craveable favorite along with the delicious Brown Derby and interestingly yummy Snarf! Get there before 11a for 3$ mimosas M-F!
- Moraya DeGeareJune 8, 2014They have lots of #glutenfree options. Just ask your servers. They have toast, pasta, tortillas, and buns for burgers. #enjoy. Gluten Free. Love your tummy.
- Gabe WatkinsJune 6, 2014One of the best places I've eaten since moving to Minneapolis. Every time I've been there it has been great. Food is delicious and service is great.
- City PagesDecember 12, 2012Voted top 10 mac and cheese dishes! A giant bowl arrives full of pasta, in a simply creamy, cheese sauce flecked with tiny bits of parsley beneath a smattering of golden breadcrumbs.
- City PagesDecember 7, 2012Voted top ten craft cocktail bars by City Pages! The Blue Plate Restaurant Company has made a name for itself opening restaurants that perfectly reflect the corners of the city where they live.
- Gluten-free tip: their 4-cheese mac and cheese can be made with gluten-free pasta. They also have gluten-free bread for sandwiches (like the braised beef, which is awesome).
- Seriously the best chicken wings around, nice and crunchy with amazing homemade ranch for dipping. And it's on the happy hour menu!
- The drink menu is always fun. Watch for the $6 cocktail special. Happy hour at 10p. Nice atmosphere.
- TylerMarch 4, 2012They just put millstream back road stout on tap ... Amazing thick sweet iowa stout, try it. We ate at the bar, staff was amazing, very friendly and super helpful with avoiding a food allergy.
- If there is a long line for brunch on the weekends, saddle up to the bar for one of the Lowry's delicious Bloody Mary's. Careful - they are on the strong side!
- I highly recommend the grilled cheese, it's probably the best I've ever had. Skip the fires and go for the cole slaw with raisins too!!
- Molly BurkeSeptember 2, 2013Try a whiskey sour, they hand craft them with egg whites. Pair with fresh oysters (always good) and deciles eggs.
- Stephen KoontzFebruary 9, 2015Their salads are well thought out. Restaurants in this city tend to not take salads too seriously but The Lowery is bringing me back to my salad days of yore...
- I have to recommend the Bloody Mary's. The Lowry uses Svedka as the rail vodka for Bloody Mary's and the resulting drink is spicy, flavorful and powerful, but deceptively smooth.
- Caroline SchulweisFebruary 25, 2015Good for happy hour ($5 wine) before 7. Get the deviled eggs to start for a couple of dollars.
- Any place with whiskey on the marquee is awesome to me. But only one of their drinks has whiskey in it? Americano is a bit bitter. Battle Cat is fun. Beer in a cocktail? Nice.
- Aaron RouseOctober 28, 2013The chicken and waffles were very tasty! Would deffinately go back the next time I am in Minneapolis.
- Carlos AJune 16, 2016Buffalo burger and oysters are really good. The burger comes with good blue cheese

- I seriously love this place! Great food for a great price! The steak salad is awesome! The service is great as well, especially diva jack!
- Lissa BOctober 29, 2011They have a pumpkin pancakes menu item right now which I had to try and they were absolutely delicious! However, like most of their plates, the serving size is too small to actually fill you
- LOVE the Peter's burger: caramelized onion, egg, ketchup, and mustard pickle relish...mmmm!! And the Oysters Rockefeller are pretty amazing too.
- Metromix ManagerOctober 28, 2011Here for brunch? Try the peanut butter waffle: fluffy waffle topped w/ crunchy PB, vanilla custard, candied peanuts & whipped cream Read more
- The Blueberry compote is magnificent! Put it on everything!!!
- Mike LutgenDecember 19, 2016Probably the best grilled cheese in the the metro area, absolutely phenomenal.
- Love their black bean burger and pesto dish. Also great cocktails!
- Good happy hour and they mix a very respectable Last Word if you enjoy cocktails
- Kaneisha JonesJanuary 12, 2015Nice and cozy. Steak salad was delicious, but the excessive tortilla chips were a bit much. But loved it!
- Sofia ValenciaApril 23, 2013Don't get the cream cheese wontons if you are used to the traditional ones. These are served with a different twist, powdered sugar and chocolate sauce.
- Terry DanielApril 28, 2013The oatmeal flapjacks are mouth watering! Do yourself a favor and order those! You will not regret it.
- Fantastic bloody. Good hippie waiter. Walked in to old Cole Porter music redone from late 80s. Great tips too!
- I wanted the hash to have hash browns for hash day. There is no hash of any kind in the veggie hash.
- Christopher PopovSeptember 6, 2017The bartenders have been consistently rude here and their happy hour menu has been scaled back. Only good deal is the bogo on select beers.
