Some claim that they met in the pub which is now called the Crown. Lenin had recently moved publication of Iskra to Clerkenwell Green.

Mathew DaviesMay 19, 2014Be extremely careful outside this pub. Pick pockets everywhere and they're seriously good. A friend of mine left a decoy bag so we could catch them, but they managed to get it without us noticing!

Food is pricier than average but its worth it. Great fish & chips.
Good beer selection, something for everyone. Food can be a bit hit & miss - avoid the coleslaw!

Beauty SoulMay 5, 2012Food was overpriced for what it was. A club sandwich for 8 quid with some cheap bread and hardly any filling. Fish drenched in oil. The chips were alright but to put it mildy I was not best pleased.
Great selection of beers, but getting food within your lunch break on a Friday lunchtime is very ambitious.
V.busy during the week but lovely spot to while away a weekend. Don't miss specialty beers on tap in the autumn.
