The lamb loaf is beautiful. Potato skins are great as a discussion style snack. Good wine selection. Great cocktails. Live music and wonderful wine cave bar downstairs. Lovely local gem.

Great food, great selection of wines and good atmosphere in the bar downstairs. Staff is friendly and service fast. An expat nest. Very loud - not great for a date - you won't have a voice afterwards

Love the Surry Hills hipster and European vibe. Food is fresh and lovely. Service is laid back. Good small selection of vino. The building is restored from the old, so very authentically European. Yum

Great night out at The Commons. Sat by the fire on a cold Sunday night and found complete bliss. Lots of mains for $20 and great waiter. Gave us a tour and quick history of building. Will be back soon

Really cozy place with fantastic dining, menu, service. Great for a drink and bite after work or on the weekend before a night out.

Very cute courtyard with funky music and good service... Wines are a tad expensive but the vino bianco della casa (cheapest white) is yummy!!!!

Replaces The Pond and has done the previous venue proud. Great wine list, tasty antipasto & bigger meals if yr so inclined. Try the rosé with proscuitto and melon, always in a winner in my book.

I always order a Caipirinha althought they never taste as good as back home. Nevertheless they are not bad in here: and the bartender was pretty good at following my suggestions

The wagyu beef carpaccio is really nice and a good portion ($18) interesting choice of sweets (frozen moscato grapes!)The place is really really REALLY noisy though, forget it for a romantic dinner!!!

Great place to sit in the garden to have a glass of wine and some nibbles. They do sandwiches for lunches too.

Food is delicious, drinks are good. But service is extremely patchy – one or two friendly staff, others atrociously condescending or bitchy.

Amazing fillet mingion, shitty garfish. Unknowledgeable staff- garfish DOES have bones!!! Nice wine. Service was pretty terrible. Would not come back.
