- David HoulstonAugust 21, 2012Go here before you go home! Best Fish and Chips in town without doubt. Take time to talk to the owner - she's SO nice. Will be back sometime soon for the real deal - FISH AND CHIPS!
- Staff PicksFebruary 18, 2016Fried fish is trending this week and the CodMother will grant your wish of some delicious fish and chips. You should also try the fish tacos and crazy fries while you're in the Codmother's presence.
- It's worth fighting the throngs of tourists to visit. Fresh fish, her own batter recipe, and fresh oil every day = the best fish and chips in the city. Fried oreos top off an outstanding meal...
- Erik AnkromAugust 6, 2013This place is busy, so it's tough to find a table. It takes around 20 minutes to get your food. If you want fried Oreos, Twinkies, Snickers, keep that in mind. Great food, worth the wait!
- Susanna HSeptember 20, 2013Two of us shared a regular order of fish and chips for lunch and it was plenty. The servings are large. Very tasty, I'm glad we stopped, and would come again.
- Mary LlorenteAugust 7, 2012Loved the Baja Fish tacos! Fish and chips are great as well..recommend to get the homemade Baja Sauce for $0.75. If you are at Fisherman's Wharf, great for a cheap & satisfying meal!
- EricMay 30, 2014Had F&C as well as fish tacos, all of which were awesome -seating is a little tight tho, Jr. size is big enough for most, Crazy fries are a must.
- Jessica Lynn ShullSeptember 21, 2012Junior Fish & Chips A-MAZING. She uses fresh Cod, freshly battered and fresh real potatoes for the fries aka chips. Get the Baja sauce! The owner is wonderful!
- Karl WarrenMay 2, 2015YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE. The Fish and Chips are the best outside of London I've ever had. Fried Oreo s for Deseret YUMMY!
- Sebastian MaconiDecember 30, 2012Incredible! Literally the best fish and chips I've ever had. The owner is extremely personable and friendly. Try the malt sauce on your fish!
- Kelly BriggsDecember 29, 2012Amazing! Must try the fish and chips. Everything is made fresh! And definitely ask to speak to the owner- she's so sweet and loves to meet the customers!!
- Andrea PiñeiroApril 29, 2017The fish and chips was good, also pretty good portions. Upgrade my fries to "fully loaded" but have a strange sauce, and it wasn't my favorite. The fish tacos have too much cabbage and were slyly dry
- Amy WiddowsonAugust 29, 2012SO GOOD. Perfect fish and chips, and a welcome respite from Fisherman's Wharf in general. Have the fried oreo and don't ask any questions :)
- Rosavel JazoMay 11, 2014Try the deep fried oreos! Their fish tacos and fish and chips are amazing, if you love them with lime bring your own #mexicangirl
- Susie JendroJanuary 19, 2013Wonderful fish tacos! A serious gem for this area...inexpensive and fresh. Owner is a fairy codmother indeed. So charming! GO HERE.
- Timothy T.April 18, 2014The fish and Stinky chips (parmesan and garlic) were oily but not heavy and still crispy in the bag after a quick drive to the Marina. Nice flaky cod inside the just right batter was a little salty
- Michelle A.April 16, 2015Try the shrimps & chips! It's a great and cheap place close to fisherman's wharf to get a quick meal.
- Rob WMay 26, 2013Highly recommended by the tour guides. Mention you heard it from them & get a free fried Snickers or fried Oreo with your purchase of a meal.
- Ami K-MFebruary 14, 2013Amazing fish and chips. Come on a warm day and people watch. Ps the owner takes square and is very lovely. :)
- Karl WarrenMay 2, 2015Be aware..the original shack is upgrading soon.....Bigger and Newer facility just a spot or two away..You MUST visit here.
- Rob FarleyFebruary 23, 2014This place is awesome! The food is great and the staff is super friendly!!!!
- If they're busy, the fried fish take a bit. Baja fish tacos over shrimp/plain fish tacos any day.
- Charles LIMay 15, 2017My British colleague feels the fish is not crisp enough. But I think it's fairly good enough for a Chinese tourist. Go British in the Bay.
- The baja shrimp tacos are missable, but the baja fish tacos are definitely well worth it.
- Jenny NJuly 13, 2014One order of fish & chips is large enough to share if you're not starving! Just get there early before they close.
- Katrin SeaborgAugust 19, 2013Fish & Chips were worth the wait. Must have meal located off the beaten path. LOVED it!
- Excellent food! Ask for the local discount. However, asking $.70 for to go orders is crazy
- Brian LuJune 30, 2016It's an out door place with iron table & chairs. Got orders quick. Ordered Large Fish, came out smaller than I expected, but in pretty good quality. Not bad for the price.
- John HaberlandMarch 9, 2014Very, very friendly Brit staff. If you get anything "Baja" you might want the sauce on the side, as they put a lot on.
- Lark AndersonDecember 30, 2013Fantastic British-style fish and chips joint. Salt 'em and malt 'em like you mean it!
- Caitlin BeattySeptember 27, 2014Be assertive when looking for a place to sit. People will vulture your table before you can sit down.
- Carissa CSeptember 23, 2018The fish and chips. We got a shrimp and chips too, but the fish is a lot better.
- Adam HickeyMay 28, 2012While the fish and chips are to die for, go with the Jr. You'll be plenty full.
