HISTORY UKJanuary 17, 2011This pub is named after the Maria Wood, an ornate steamboat used by the Lord Mayor for official occasions, built in 1816 and moored nearby. This pub also starred in the Beatles film Help!
Average food from a tired menu that hasn’t changed much in 4 years. Bar snacks are better value. The service has always been a bit hit and miss, especially when they’re busy, but now it’s just lazy.

Much bigger inside since the rebuild. All toilets now upstairs so not good for disabled etc. Service currently a bit disorganised, hopefully that will get better
