Great breakfast and the closest you'll get to a Parisian sandwich in SF. Beware the hours and days of the week, and when they just don't feel like being open. A proper, casual French gem in South Park

Great for brunch. Go for the Choco-Noisette Belgian waffle if you're up for something sugary - it's light and fluffy but also rich in flavor. Service is good, and they give truffles with the receipt!

One of my regular breakfast spots - it's just a little piece of Paris in SF in a cute neighborhood. Recommend the Salmon Eggs Benedict, the daily Quiche, and the Mushroom buckwheat crepe.

a favorite i often go for bkf/lunch.onion soup is the best, croque monsieur is good but diff than swiss style we eat at home so i don't usually order it. almond croissant+pain perdu is perfect brunch.

The benedicts are served with sourdough bread instead of the traditional muffin. So if you're not into sourdough, steer clear of this one. I highly recommend the Bacon & Swiss Quiche though! Amazing!

Prepare to wait for brunch. Benedict only available on weekends. Get the croque Monsieur/Madame/Mlle with the tomatoes and herbs du Provence for $2 extra. Enjoy the huge salads they come with!

This is a French owned joint that doesn't serve French portions. Start with a quiche of the day and pray you have room left for a banana nuttella crêpe topped with their house made whipped cream!

The addition of crème fraîche and nutmeg on the croque-monsieur is questionable. This sandwich is already great in its simple and original form.

This restaurant was like a Paris cafe. Since dishes were big-portion, one dish was enough for one person. Side salad was also big volume, so good for health. Taste was good, and cost was affordable.

Cute venue, good service, chef the very personable. The Eggs Benedict is good but not the best I've had. The Croque Monsieur is unique and tasty.

The waffle is delicious, but definitely a dessert, for two! They leave you a chocolate truffle w/ your check! Definitely would recommend.

Get there early! The quiche is to-die for good and sells out quickly. Def not French sized portions. The truffles at the end of the meal are perfect.

Benedicts are available EVERY DAY, not just on the weekends as some of the older tips claimed. Also, quiche is available only after 11 am daily.

here's a tip - the portions are huge so get one savory dish (eggs benedict) and one sweet (waffle/french toast) and share amongst two.

Seems like the quality has fallen in recent years. Their "famous benedict" didn't deserve to be labeled as such; the water tasted soapy.

Their waffles are great (get the banana one), as are the crepes. a coffee fiend I know says their coffee is excellent, and is provided by Grafeo in North Beach.

Pick up a ready made baguette (lunch only) to eat in the park. Salami with cornichons is the best.
