- Maybe my favorite hotel in Chicago. The view over Grant Park and on to Lake Michigan is stunning, and the concierge lounge takes care of everything. Save time to play some pool in the lobby.
- Ty LattimoreJune 2, 2014I even took the time to look up the history of the hotel on wikipedia after hearing so many films have been shot at the Blackstone. The bellman & doormen were friendly and helpful.Upvoted Sep 18
- Perfectly located on Micigan Avenue, the hotel is a 20 minute walk to downtown and the river. Get a corner suite overlooking Grant Park on the 21st or 22nd floors. Spectacular. Great staff as well
- Historic Blackstone was once known as the "Hotel of Presidents" and the notorious Al Capone use to frequent the barbershop. Ask one of the bellmen or Navigator for a tour! The Art Hall is a must too!
- Ty LattimoreJune 2, 2014However the agent at check in was able to correct the matter. She upgraded our room. The suite on the 15th floor had an amazing view of the lake. The bathroom & decor was something from a magazine.
- Nena Agu-HoneyJuly 19, 2016Very close to grant park and walking distance to good food. Loved our room, employees are extremely accommodating.
- FilmsquareSeptember 14, 2013The Crystal Ballroom of the Blackstone Hotel was used in The Untouchables (1987) for Al Capone's inspiring, but ultimately bloody speech on team work.
- Brian StraussNovember 17, 2021Really nice renovated rooms. Very comfortable beds. The restaurant has excellent Spanish food and wine though interior could use a refresh.
- Ty LattimoreJune 2, 2014Bed was comfortable. Just overall a good experience. The food in the Hubbard Lounge, esp breakfast was top knotch. The bacon, eggs & croissants were perfection. Wasn't so impressed the dessert bites.
- Ty LattimoreJune 2, 2014Very impressive hotel. Convenient to my meeting that brought me to town. The lobby is breathtaking. Initially there was some mix up with the reservation after my flight coming to town was delayed.
- Krystle GurleyJuly 14, 2014The hotel was awesome! It was nice and clean and the employees were friendly. The service was excellent.
- Yuval ZukermanFebruary 17, 2017Great views but very long in the tooth. Rooms are large but the lounge is very limited and shuts down at 9:30 on the spot. Small TV screen if you care about that. Good location. Decent, unremarkable.
- Vintage pool table in the lobby. Hotel guests can play for free!
- This is one of my favorite hotels in Chicago. It's just classy here in a unique boutique hotel kind of way. The navigator desk rocks too!
- Sheree MartinMarch 28, 2014Lovely quiet hotel. Stayed here in town for conference next door at Hilton. Very friendly staff and free business center.
- Renaissance HotelsAugust 23, 2012Don't forget to close your curtains here, or you'll be forced to watch the sun rise over Lake Michigan from your bed. Gorgeous.
- Beautiful architectural details. Be sure to pay attention to the ceiling in the lobby and the elevator floor indicators on the lobby elevators. Charming.

- Holly RingleJuly 13, 2017Nice hotel. But I've had to have my key replaced 3x now. Every time I leave the key doesn't open the door.
- Beautiful day for a boat tour!! Stop by our Concierge desk and see our navigator Shannon and add a little Chi-Town glitz to your Saturday itinerary
- Joan BlumenthalApril 30, 2018The food was excellent, but it was very noisy. Difficult to carry on a conversation, especially during the cocktail hour.
- Simon & SchusterMarch 18, 2011They say Capone got his shoes shined here. They offer a Gangster Package that includes tickets for a gangland bus tour and a signed copy of GET CAPONE by Jonathan Eig. Read more
