Daniel RoyJanuary 25, 2015If you're flying in on an international flight, you'll have to claim your luggage to clear customs. Add to this the large size of the airport, and you should make sure you've got plenty of time.
The lineup for Tim's in T1 USA terminal can be crazy but the burger place right beside it serves a better breakfast and has coffee! One less airport line to wait in.
LornaAugust 30, 2018Much improved in recent years. WiFi works, power widely available, iPads for food order/info/web widely available, a selection of food, water fountains.
delayed flight? - terminal 1 (to has premium lounge past gate F55. 50$ for two hours, unlimited food and drinks (non top shelf drinks, 5-10$ for top shelf). Best place relax than most restaurants.

Uber is downstairs from arrival, an escalator around B to go to underground
If you need water, just go to the Starbucks near Gate D on the departures floor and ask for "iced water". It's free.

Too many people write crap because of some attitude towards airlines. I'm a frequent flyer and this is one of the best terminals & airports in the continent!!

Flights arriving in the evening lack support from staff. 30minutes for my luggage to come out on the carrousel.
It's probably too late for you, but fly into Terminal 3 instead. The customs line here is always longer.

The temporary terminal extension for USA flights takes just over seven minutes. Having a trolly bag for your trip through this teminal wouldn't be a bad idea.

If you're flying out early- note that customs doesn't open until 4:30 am but the line is long already by 4:00. Ugh

Jonathan HarrisOctober 4, 2012Air Canada representatives are extremely rude and condescending towards customers. Especially united customers. To void fees for everything you have to talk to united customer service.
