Pushpak ApteMay 25, 2017Get in early, the security check takes a hell lot of time... I would suggest you do a web check-in as there is a huge queue for checking in.... Direct baggage drop has comparatively less queue.
The coffee at Starbucks, outside the terminal and the bookstore inside the terminal are a great place to kill time if your flight is delayed!

Put electronic items in your cabin baggage in a separate tray for security check. Will save a LOT of time, ESPECIALLY if you’re a musician cuz the security personnel want it all laid out for them.
An amazing terminal! And it has actual food, not overpriced plastic containers like at the other terminals.
Just an update.. There's always a long queue for checkin early morning from 4-7

If you want to pick up a radio taxi pick up from next to Balaji restaurant it will save you 110 bucks of taxi entry fee into pick up area.

The best only domestic airport in India , even though only low cost carriers fly from here , its over crowded- milind srikantamurthySeptember 23, 2013If you spot a very big queue or no queue at all for the international transfer, then it means you need to wait a lot for the transfer. Head to the exit and get a taxi to the international airport.
Monday mornings, domestic terminal is the same as Dadar central station. Quick tip: go for security check in from the 2nd left, queues are usually much shorter. After check, turn left for gates 1-9.

You get 5mins of free time in the arrivals pickup zone which is really stupid, make sure to take another round other than paying 110rs as a fine for the extra time.

At 3-4 am, the airport is surprisingly empty. No one else as far as the eye can see. The only sound to be heard is of the tapping on the touchscreen as I type this.
If you can't find a charging point for your phone climb up and you will find two plug points bang opposite the vip store
There is this place which has an excellent collection of spirits . Especially Pre mixed teacher's cans. Yay! U know what I mean !!

In case you want to save Rs. 100 take a cab or auto outside the airport, may be from Balaji Restaurent.

Better than the international terminal but its rather small considering how big and important Mumbai is. The should also have different terminal for low cost airlines and full-service airlines.

When you go through security they will stamp your boarding pass and your bag tag. Without these stamps, you will not be allowed to board a flight.

If you have arrived into Mumbai, take a pre-paid cab from the counters in the terminal, if u don't have transport to your destination in Mumbai. Don't take the help of a tout
Make your move quickly with AirIndia check-ins at the port. They really don't care if you have a confirm ticket - if a flight's it is full..
