Besides the soup dumplings, I recommend the scallion pancakes, stir-fried rice cakes with shredded pork & preserved cabbage and pork chop w/salt & pepper!
This restaurant has moved to 50 Bayard Street. The new name is Old Yeah Shanghai Deluxe! It seems that they have changed owners, but are using the same menus. The food is still pretty good!
This is Chef Ming Tsai's favorite place for soup dumplings. The prices are a bit higher and there are more tourists, but the food is still pretty tasty.
This is the only Chinese restaurant in the UES I'll frequent. I would recommend sticking to their Sichuan specialities such as Ma Paul Tofu, dan dan noodles, Sichuan pork dumplings, etc.
