1. Melbourne Bay Restaurant
Jonathan Sala: Decent food for a great price. The specials are usually good, but watch out - if you don't like spicy things, steer clear of the curry. It's tasty, but definitely isn't mild.
2. Breadtop
Jonathan Sala: Super cheap and super tasty pastries. It's difficult to fight the urge to buy one of everything...
3. Cafenatics
Jonathan Sala: Not especially cheap, so take advantage of the numerous specials when you can. Good coffee, though.
4. Gumbo Kitchen
Jonathan Sala: Generous helpings of tasty New Orleans style food. Not always around, so watch their Twitter to find out when they'll be visiting!
5. Nine Elephants
Jonathan Sala: Delicious Thai food and good service. $20 EFTPOS minimum, so if you're taking advantage of a lunch special remember to bring cash.
6. Shinsei Fish + Sushi
Jonathan Sala: Sushi is all right, but not amazing. Can probably find it cheaper elsewhere.
7. Va Bene Pizzeria
Jonathan Sala: Tasty pizza, but not cheap. Gets crowded during peak times, but they can usually squeeze you in on one of their long dining tables.
8. Saporo Cafe
Jonathan Sala: Great selection of rolls and wraps.
9. Medici Restaurant
10. The Woolshed
