Takesushi has extremely pleasant and warm service! Servers were always quick to refill my tea and the sushi chef finessed the 10 pieces of sushiartfully. Definitely coming back.
Owner is super friendly. Great staff. The food is excellent. Fish is fresh. Black vid cooked to perfection. Eggplant was amazing. Toro gill (?) Was cooked wonderfully. I will definitely come back.
Most of the fish is flown in from Japan and is high quality. The grilled cod which my bf and I shared was life changing. This is a homey, authentic Japanese restaurant and not fancy but so good!
Everything is excellent, the food incredibly delicious, the crew suuuper nice attention. Now my favorite Japanese restaurant in Sunnyside. Just the best!
Some say owner/chef Robin Kawada opened the 1st sushi restaurant in Manhattan in 1975! In addition to this Queens outpost, Kawada owns a 15-seater in Japan. Too legit to quit.
