Serious EatsApril 25, 2013If you need an inexpensive lunch or just an amazing pita sandwich, Taboonette's got ya covered. Their pita sandwich version of shakshuka (eggs and tomato sauce) is deeply flavorful and satisfying.
The "American" bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is a great Mediterranean alternative to the classic. It's on pita, has grilled eggplant, and hot sauce. Also, $6 🙏. Good veggie options, too.
KinoApril 26, 2018The Lamb Shawarma here is simply the best that I've tried in NYC. The Chicken Shawarma was not as good. Their prices are not cheap: $10 for Chicken Pita & $11 for Lamb Pita. Free WiFi PW: internet.
Yummy vegetarian options. Try the Kruveet platter with roasted cauliflower and eggplant over rice or quinoa with hummus on the side. Ask for hot sauce!- I've always wanted someone to put shakshuka -- poached egg with spiced tomatoes, tahini, and cilantro -- into a pita to save me the effort of all that dipping. Taboonette has that breakfast sandwich.
This place is wonderful. Cozy, friendly, affordable and always delicious! Get the salmon egg pita. The pita is out of this world- as fluffy as can be. Even the arugula side salad is perfect!!

This place rocks! You can't go wrong with almost any choice of food. My favorite is the chicken Schwarma platter with yellow rice, hummus and Israeli salad.

Love it, pita tastes better than most other places, but they also charge a little more and it's always packed. Get a punch card and get your 10th pita free

Beautiful white-washed interior serving pita pockets full of flavor. I love their salmon for something light and healthy. They also sell beer!
Must order the tzaziki and pita chips for a side dish. Great addition to any of the large plates

- The pulled pork plate is really something!! The way the meat mix with the spicy sauces and the sweetness of apples is amazing!
The shawarma and pita bread is delightful, but I also really like the roasted veggies

If you're extremely hungry, get the pulled pork, it comes with delicious apple slaw. If you don't want to be in a post-eating, get a sabeech
Salmon and egg pita on the breakfast menu is half price of the other items and served all day. Thank me later.

The pulled pork & salmon dishes are to die for. This spot is a consistent, affordable winner.
Everything here is delicious, especially the shakshuka pita. You MUST try the pulled pork nachos if they are available.
