Places I'm very loyal to, because they welcome my puppy. Granted, my dog only weighs 33 lbs and is objectively adorable, but still. I kept looking for a list like this, decided to create my own. Woof!

Anna John: Nice, clean water bowls for your dog in an intimate courtyard with a fountain. Very European, from the excellent cafe au lait/desserts to the kind, welcoming attitude towards pets. A favorite of ours.

Anna John: My French Bulldog's fave place to brunch (they have all-day breakfast). She adores the servers who spoil her rotten, and their homemade dog biscuits. A very dog-friendly patio w/multiple water dishes.
Anna John: The sweetest, most reliable dry cleaner that I've found in this city is so nice, they get a little disappointed when my puppy isn't with me, then they ask how she is. They love giving her biscuits :)

Anna John: Clean water bowl outside the front door, a bounty of biscuits inside this precious boutique, where they are as wild about my dog as they are about a well-curated selection of classic, pretty clothing.

Anna John: The staff at this location LOVE my dog (and her pearl necklace). It can be chaotic when busy and I wouldn't bring a bigger puppy here, but the staff have always been so sweet to her. Love them for it.
Anna John: Not only do they stock excellent, groomer-tested products for dogs (the conditioner works wonders), they have dog biscuits AND a giant collage of pictures of neighborhood dogs! My dog is on there. :)

Anna John: I used to shy away from buying anything here unless I absolutely had to, because it's very expensive, but they're so sweet to my puppy that I can't help but be a loyal patron. Thanks, Paper Source! :)

Anna John: Yup, like most wise stores in Georgetown, the Apple store allows dogs. I once saw a giant white Great Pyrenees calmly stroll in, OFF LEASH with its owner (I wouldn't recommend that, obvs). It matched!
Anna John: I would not bring a big or rambunctious dog in here but my puppy has always been welcome. The few times I've seen dogs here they were placid, bored-looking toy breeds, which is both funny/predictable.

Anna John: Unfortunately, I've never had a great dining experience here, but Happy Hour cocktails are great AND they have an adorable doggy menu of treats! My pup liked all three items. PLENTY of outdoor seating
Anna John: Right across from the "Columbia Heights Dog Park", RedRocks has a big patio and servers who are usually willing to bring your dog some water.

Anna John: The staff seemed genuinely happy to see my puppy, which was sweet. RTB has plenty of outdoor seating so it's easy to grab brunch or dinner after a romp at Dupont dog park (which is a block away).

Anna John: Obviously dogs are welcome, but this store went above and beyond wrt advice for me/affection for my dog. People compliment my pup's silky, soft coat daily. I tell them to buy Grizzly salmon oil, here.
