Best cozy place in the city for many things: chocolate (of course), quiet work on laptop, reading a newspaper, brunch/breakfast/coffee/reading, 2nd hand books, and doing interviews. Very friendly too.
Built in 1924, this was once the biggest garage in Europe, with separate lounges for owners, ladies and chauffeurs. It became a Sir Terence Conran restaurant in 1997.
One of the best places in London to chill out and watch the world go by is upstairs by the window in haagen dazs in Leicester Square. Don't forget to get a huge ice cream also.
