Good service - ordered a Guinness and the keg kicked so it took a bit to get my beer, which was totally understandable but they ended up giving it me on the house which was awesome of them

Authentic. That's all you need to say about The Gate. Food is unexpectedly tremendous. All the Irish favorites delivered with the ingredients and service you would hope for. Staff is the best. #LOVE

St. James Gate has the BEST Cobb Salald in New York City. Well worth ordering. I thought nothing could beat Hair of the Dog's Cobb Salad, but thank the heavens I stumbled upon this pot of gold!

The tall blonde barmaid doesn't want to serve anyone other than a regular. Makes eye contact only to purposefully ignore you. Lucky the bald Irish barman is friendly!
