    Absolutely one of the most breathtakingly picturesque industrial areas in Europe and very pedestrian- and bike-friendly. Elevated walkways give awesome views down canals & warehouses.

    This is where the free trade zone of Hamburg used to be with numerous warehouses. Go here ASAP, in a couple of years it's going to be just another office area.

The Speicherstadt is the largest timber-pile founded warehouse district in the world. It was built from 1883 to 1927, supervised by Franz Andreas Meyer. There are several museums like the Deutsches Zollmuseum (German Customs Museum), Miniatur Wunderland, a model railway, and the Hamburg Dungeon.
