Such a nice airport. Easy to get in and out of. South Bend should be proud to have this airport.

Great small airport! Easy walk from parking lot and into terminal. Security lines generally short and TSA staff friendly.
Smaller airport. Time from check-in to gate is short. Rental vehicles are on site.- C WFebruary 21, 2013The smallest airport I fly in and out of. Friendliest staff and TSA I have encountered in the country. Unless this is a busy game weekend, security should take you about 5 min or less to go through.
- Sharon RalstonApril 28, 2013Cheaper to fly into here- with layover in Chicago ORD- than to fly non-stop into ORD on United. Car rental is a snap- just walk out the side door and there you are.
Try the Locish app. Great suggestions from local residents on places to eat and things to see.

They don’t have a water machine to fill a bottle like most airports so maje sure you get a bottle before boarding. Otherwise, very efficient airport!
Nice new terminal. Nice work area with large personal desks, power outlets, and 45 min of free internet to get work done.
Amber GuildnerMarch 14, 2013Don't be in a hurry to get off the plane if u have to claim luggage. Feel free to stop to freshen up, change clothes, and perhaps knit a hat. Baggage claim is so slow. But my bags always arrive safely

Always print your boarding pass ahead of time....even if you have checked luggage.

I thought the TSA agent tip was a joke, until I counted at least Ten agents for one check in area.
The children's play area is a great idea. It's across from gates a5 and a6
Family friendly facilities include a family restroom and well-equipped playroom.

The United Airlines desk employs the least helpful people I have ever encountered in the service industry.
Don't get stuck here. There's no place to eat. The new cafe in the gate area is like a 7-11 that serves draft beer.
give yourself plenty of time in this airport. airlines, car rentals, coffee counter-- all are understaffed.
Do not get a drink in the gate area, lots of mixer little alcohol especially for the price. Wait to a better airport or drinking establishment
