The appetizers here are very good. This is the the bacon wedge glazed with maple BBQ sauce. Finger licking good thick pieces of bacon slices in a wedge shape. This is a repeat.
I like the smoked beef brisket sandwich better than the pulled pork sandwich. Both could use a lot more smoke and moistness, but the brisket edges out the pork.
The food is awesome and our waitress was a doll. They have kinks to work out as it's only day 3, but I have faith it'll be a good spot. And the wings. Ohhh the wings.
The owners are very proud of their smoked BBQ. Hopefully, they can keep the place from becoming another sports bar w/ TVs by tuning down the bar scene during dinner hours and during the weeknights.
Come early if you want to enjoy the food. It gets very loud in here quickly even on a week night & when its not full, becoming more of a noisy sports bar scene than a restaurant for enjoying BBQ.
Very simply put, Texas Style Pit Barbecue is meat cooked with wood. It is an art form that requires
time, patience and understanding to master. It is hot, hard, dirty work but the results are absolutely
incredible, making it well worth the extra effort...
