"Walk to the northern end of the island for the best shelling. Tent campers will have little privacy, but the beach access is great. Loggerhead turtles love nesting here & there are ranger programs."

"Peel & eat shrimp were hit or miss - ours ranged from good to squishy to rubber. Deviled crab inedible. However, the crab legs (snow & Alaskan king) were good. Fun if not an exceptional experience."

"Absolutely worth the $13 (adults) admission. WEAR REAL SHOES -- ones with grippy soles -- and be prepared to take some steep stairs up and down. Family-friendly and educational activity."

"Seek out this small but well done museum. Admission is a bargain, the building itself has great history, and the view is nice."

"Quaint inn with a lovely front porch--spend some time in one of the many rocking chairs. Breakfast is at 8:30 a.m. Inn is within walking distance to The Barter and other historic locations."
