Insanely good - A to Z wine as well as shoyu mushroom made my brain explode. I am a simple man with complex soup tastes - and this exceeded all expectations
The tan tan men ramen is to die for! Just the right amount of spice in its decadent broth and well seasoned meat to warm you right up. Great service, great atmosphere, great food, great time!
For those who only know packaged ramen noodles, this is a chance to enjoy the real thing. Tonkotsu noodles stew in an amazing pork broth with mushrooms, greens, bok choy and chili oil. Read more
The ramen is delicious. The broth is aromatic and flavorful, while the molten egg is runny and gooey. The pork was a little fatty and dry. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and scrumptious.
They only take reservations for larger groups, which makes it easier to drop in and get a seat than other places downtown. The duck fat chicken and all the ramen are world class.
For a real bang for your buck look for the Duck Fat Fried Chicken. The extra crispy coating gives way to a supremely moist interior, making it one of the best examples of fried chicken around.
I've tried their Brussel sprouts and literally omg. You won't regret that decision in your life. Also they have a great vibe and awesome music if you like electronic music
If I lived in Chicago I would be here all winter for a hot bowl of ramen! Get the tan tan men - huge, spicy, and delicious. Gave me the courage to go back outside.
My favorite location. The Chef Takashi owns another upscale location. Slurping Turtle happens to be a whole in the wall place and always packed during lunch-hour. Try their Bento Box or Ramen Soup.
Solid happy hour with 1/2 price snacks, sake flights, and bottles of wine. $4 for select draft beers. The Tan Tan ramen and Chahan rice bowl are both very good.
Tori Ramen: the balance and depth of flavor of the shio-style (salt) broth is incredibly satisfying, just as a truly excellent bowl of ramen should be.

Delicious ramen, and good service! Was surprised how quickly we were seated on a Saturday night. Got a very cozy booth on the second floor, looking down on the street.
Amongst the neighborhood ramen places ( high five and ramen sen ) this is the best. BUT Chicago has nothing like Ippudo in NYC. One day someone will open it.
Cute contemporary dining experience. The 'bincho grill' options are great for sampling. The 'slurping noodle' dish warms you up on a cold day. Nicely organized sake menu for the sake virgin.
Their delicious tofu and mushroom ramen, which is great even if you're not a vegetarian, is off the menu, apparently until the winter. A shame, as you now have no options other than pork broth.
