Great Escape is an amusement and water park owned and operated by Six Flags Entertainment Corp. It is located approximately 60 miles (97 km) north of Albany, in Queensbury, New York.
get the gold membership you receive free season parking. Also good to get is the season dinner plan it's worth it. Every time you visit the park you get lunch and dinner.
Families - invest in the refillable drink cups. Note that note every station has the same drinks (example, only some carry Powerade). Buy a pizza and two breadstick orders for lunch (~$24) @ Primos.
Buy the drink bottles at the main gate and drink all day for free with the wrist band! Best deal. Go to the Alpine House for great food with sizes worth your money!
Love this place! Rides are great! Foods expensive though! Stay away from the pizza. An employee had recommended the chicken fingers as the only thing to eat there. That's all we get now!
The problem is it is so expensive!! We took school children(5th grd) here for a classfield trip and travelled almost 3hrs on 3 school buses to get to the park. That being said I won't be going back.
Enter code HD13 for $26.99 tix. Print your tix and go any day. Use the code ASAP as the code may expire soon. Once you have printed your tix they will be good until Sep for any day you wish.
Get the $13 unlimited refill reusable six flags cup. Totally worth it in this heat. Only bought one for the whole family because we can refill as many times as we want.
Come only if you have a small kid. I am too old to even stand in the queue. If there's no one waiting, try to ask the staff to pause the Ferris wheel for you and take pictures at the top.
Nice clean park, very short wait for all the rides, even the premier such as the comet, 10 minutes or less. Enjoyable park for everyone. RIDE THE COMET AND ENJOY!!!!
The Great Escape used to be fun. Prices are stupid high, not paying $15 for a fast pass, when there's 3 maybe 4 rides that have a line too use it on. Greedy chair hoarders in splash water kingdom.
It was my first time there since it was StoryTown which was decades ago. I have to say I was not impressed and felt the outside services such as food and drinks was below average and very expensive.
coaster selection is disappointing and the park layout is backwards. basically if you want a water park and places to shop, then this is the place for you. not for the avid coaster rider.
The food is INSANELY priced and totally not worth it. Pack a picniclunch and take a break halfway through your day, you'll save a ton of $$ and still have fun!
You can purchase The Great Escape discount admission coupons at Dunkin Donuts. $29.99 for general admission through July 16th and $35.00 till September 6th.
It was a nice time....but my niece who looks little was given a hard time by a worker who thought she was going in the park by herself not very happy about it!!
Park closed without notification kids disappointed waiting more than 1 1/2 hrs. Useless help at food courts Inexcusable wait for rides letting empty cars go and fast pass people take the front seats.
I hate to complain, but when a company deserves it they should hear about it. Ultimately, customer service dealing with a season pass issue is so horrible I can't even begin to start.
This place could use management help....people here work slower than McDonald's....lines take forever for everything...from rides to food lines. Driving me nuts.
Not much to do here. Only three roller coasters. For a six flags they need to get it together or lower the price, not worth $55. Darien Lake is a lot better.
From thrilling coasters to rides for the kids, Six Flags Great Escape has something for everyone. With more than 34 exciting rides and attractions, Six Flags is Albany-Schenectady-Troy's destination for family fun.
