Avoid the boring "dark night" and shaky "batman" and "scream machine" rides and focus on riding NITRO as much as possible, the smoothest ride in the park. El Torro could also be called fear factor. Up
If you're picking up your kid in the drop-off/pickup lot, be prepared to wait a long time! Once the shuttle bus came around, they didn't even stop to let my daughter off.
Buy a flash pass (even if it's just a basic one). Sure it's an extra 30 bucks (less depending on your group size more depending on the level) but it is worth every penny!
Don't be afraid to keep your hands up on El Toro. I'm about 6'1'' and had my arms up the whole time. Although the structures are low you're fine to show your enthusiasm.
