3 rides you cannot miss. El Toro, Kingda Ka and Nitro. Front row. Enjoy! Important: If you are coming from NYC or Jersey , there are buses from Penn Station with great prices and park bundle options.
The two best coasters (amongst the best in the world) are the steel hyper coaster Nitro that drops you 215 feet at 80 mph and the modern wooden coasterEl Toro with a 76 degree, 70 mph first drop.
I felt in love with this crazy place.Must try all roller coasters.should arrive 1 hour before the park will be opened.Food is okay, lines are too big in a middle of day and you gotta await 20-30 min.
Definitely get the flash pass so you can skip all the lines! The best rides are Kingda Ka, El Toro, Nitro, and the Green Lantern. Finish the day with a funnel cake or dippin' dots and you're all set!
Stop at wawa for lunch or dinner, don't forget to get your hand stamped if your leaving in the afternoon and coming back. The park food is expensive and it costs about 400 dollars for a family of 4.
The lazy river is a half mile long!! On busy days, it is recommended to rent one for five dollars. It is your to keep for the day and you can go on several rides with it.
Most of the roller coasters are excellent. Avoid Green Lantern or save it until last so your headache doesn't ruin your day. Safari was fun. I went over the 4th of July weekend...fireworks & no lines!
Best roller coasterpark near New York. Nitro, Kinda Ka, and El Toro are memorable. Flash pass is useful to avoid the crowds. Unfortunately, park is too crowded and promotes unnecessary consumption.
Quite possibly, the best theme park in the world. Get there early and map out what you want to do... there really isn't enough time to do all the rides in one day when it's packed in the park.
Well, it's not a Disney park, but it's about as good as you're going to get in NJ. Great rides and so much fun. Use the Six Flags app. once you get into the park to help gauge wait times
The place can be tough when it's really hot, and the line waits are often prohibitive. But go at the right time and you can have a blast! My kids are ride fanatics and are thrilled every time we come.
Love Six Flags in general, I don't recommend fright fest. Lines much longer then regular season. Hope to go back in the spring and get in some more coasters!
Go in early and try to book tickets online with coupons or your employer benefits. On a good sunny day, reach early as the lines get big by 12pm. Also, on a busy day get gold fast pass to skip lines.
Great place to take the family and I recommend getting the flash pass! Lines build up and if you're soaked while it's a bit breezy, you'll be freezing!
Arrive early! If you're purchasing season passes the best value is early September Flash sale. Check with your local recreation department for discounted tickets for a day.
Leave your phone in the car, or pay for the locker fees, most of the rides don't allow you to bring your phone, bag, drink, anything on them anymore. I think I had my last Great Adventure.
El Toro and Nitro are the best rides in the park! If you are going for Fright Fest and purchase the wristband for all of the Haunted Attractions, good luck! Don't waste any of that time!
Arrive early for the closest regular parking spot. Parking and early entry (15 minutes, really?) to the Park for season pass holders. Seems everyone has a season pass now, LOL! Have fun!
Search for a coupon online; always something available. Purchase Gold Flash Pass; well worth it. If you plan to drink alcohol, bring two forms of ID cause they take hold ID for Flash Pass.
Tons of roller coasters and huge park! So much to do. Just beware though. You have to put your stuff in lockers before every coaster. Kinda annoying and costs money each time of course....
If you are Jewish and looking for kosha food, it's in kids safari (located over by skull mountain) at oasis café. Also if your Jewish all phones must be in a pocket or with a non rider.
Don't Miss Live & Local - Great local bands take the stage and hang out with fans in the middle of the park. Check out Dead & Local around Halloween as well when the theatrics match the season.
Smoking areas are located in blue, I can't stand calling security on people who don't follow the rules. Beer and other alcohol must be consumed in the area you bought it from.
this park has the best coasters like kingda ka, el toro , bizarro and nitro. get a season pass and you get a coupon book savings of $300.00 with lots of great deals.
If you buy your Season Pass at the END of the Season (in the Fall....in Oct.) they'll let you also USE IT for the NEXT season as well!! I did that at the end of 2010 & now go all through 2011 TOO!
Always have water with you while waiting to get on rides. Not all waiting areas have cooling systems. Make sure to double up on deodorant, be kind to folks around you. Have patience most of all.
Six Flags blocks web access on-site, so purchase your Internet tickets before arriving to the park! Don't worry if you forget to print; the park has print stations at the entrance..
Six Flags great adventure New Jersey-awesome rides all day long, Good chinese food at Panda Express. and the scenic view from Skyfari is amazing! Fright Feast in late Sept to Oct.
BUY A FLASH PASS!!! We were there for 6hours and only got on 4 roller coasters! The lines were longer here then at Disney World! Must get on Green Lantern, Kingda Ka, El Toro, Nitro & Bizaro!
The coasters are all a lot of fun but the only way to hit them all on a weekend is to get a flash pass. Food is expensive. There are lockers to store your bags. El Toro and Nitro are the scariest.
Get your whole train to scream 'Lucky Train!' When arriving back, conductor might let you ride again if your enthusiastic enough! Rode Kinda Ka 2x without having to get up!
Six Flags has the ultimate ride in all of amusement parks in Kingda Ka. Six Flags' newest attraction is the Sky Screamer! Sky Screamer that will lift you 24 stories off the ground.
This park keeps going down. They do not handle the crowds. It should not take 1/2 hour to get in. They need to add some more shows They used to have music shows. Best rides Nitro and Kinda Kaaaaaaa!!!
Welcome to Six Flags Great Adventure! With 13 world class, hair-raising coasters, spectacular shows, concerts and three distinct kids areas, Six Flags is fun for the whole family!
