- Ian ThomtoriMarch 28, 2017Michelin star restaurant with great service and ambience. My favourites are the fish in broth, Peking duck, roast pork. Excellent place for bringing guests and special occasions. #ThomtoriEats
- Cheen The CuriousOctober 19, 2019Stir-fried prawns with mala sauce was surprisingly delicious. Prawns has a crisp layer. The mala sauce was a balance of spiciness & creaminess. Would order this again
- gerard tJuly 22, 2016Shisen Hanten was awarded two Michelin Stars in The Michelin Guide Singapore 2016.
- Cheen The CuriousOctober 19, 2019Wok-fried string beans added crunch to our meal. Together with plain rice (which was well-cooked), it offered respite to our mouths from the spicy dishes we had sampled😁
- Cheen The CuriousOctober 19, 2019Suitable for business lunch. Convenient lunch set, comfortable distance between tables, central location, quality food & service
- Cheen The CuriousSeptember 15, 2019The mapo tofu ($26) is a best-selling dish here, from chef Chen Kentaro's family recipe which uses doubanjiang (chilli broad bean paste). Source: Sunday Times
- Cheen The CuriousOctober 18, 2019Shisen Hanten is on level 35. Take lifts from the Orchard Wing (not the main lift lobby) all the way to the giddy top!
- Cheen The CuriousOctober 19, 2019This is the popular 'dan dan' noodles (Chen's original spicy dry noodles). Light yet savoury. A must try!
- Cheryl YeDecember 25, 2017The place is beautiful and the service was great. The dim sum was good however, the fish in hot chili oil wasn’t as great as Silkroad at Amara Hotel.
- Wen HuangOctober 23, 2021Noodles and signature Mapo Tofu are fantastic. Rest of the courses more mainstream fare, not clear why the 2 stars.
- Gabriel SeahMay 28, 2019On level 35 of the Orchard Wing of Mandarin Orchard hotel. Take the lifts from Mandarin Gallery
- Cheen The CuriousOctober 19, 2019Stewed fish fillet (garoupa) in super-spicy Szechuan pepper sauce. The soup was tasty
- Cheen The CuriousOctober 18, 2019If you prefer dining with a view of the city from 35 floors up, ask during reservation for a table by the window, if available
- uni uniOctober 24, 2016Staffs were friendly. However, when I tried dinner, noodle was suddenly served in the middle of main dish. Though taste was nice, it was too soft. I'm afraid it's cooked for another table
- TingDecember 20, 2014So this is Japanese Sze Chuan? The few Chuan cuisine classics we ordered are hardly authentic. Good ambience and service though, but that's hardly enough reason to return.
- Dan dan noodles are heavenly. Stir fried beef are tender with nice amount of fats.
- Andrew C.August 18, 2016REALLY well executed Sichuan food, but it's it blow-my-socks-off-2-michelin-star good? No, not really.
