Free for SF residents but paid admission for everyone else, so it's one of the nicest uncrowded secret spots in Golden Gate Park. Great for picnics, dates and meditating.

- Attend the Flower Piano event. It is enriching to the soul to hear beautiful music surrounded by beautiful greenery.
- Come here during Flower Piano and bring your favorite libations. Sipping whiskey from a flask while listening to beautifully played piano is wonderful.

Brad DJanuary 20, 2014I love this garden. It's my second one now since the Mendocino Coast Gardens and I love it, I don't think they have quite the same verity but I'd defiantly come back and plan on it!
A secret getaway. Bamboos. Flowers. Beautiful flowers. Scents. Sun. Reading books while lying on the grass. If you're interested in any of that, you should go! Free for SF residents :)

I hadn't changed my ID since moving to the City but was able to show a bank statement I found on my phone for free admission!- You can make a day of walking and sitting in this park. It has plants from all over the world and fragrances that are heavenly.

The magnolias on spring are stunning and the Fragrance Garden is definitely worth a wander! You're allowed to touch and smell everything there.
Check out the library. It's a small place but has interesting south east Asian sculptures sprinkled on the shelves
