A shop with rotating coffee roasters (some of which aren't our favorite), Astoria Coffee is an attractive, quiet, high-ceilinged space, run by friendly folks, with wifi, plugs, in an underserved area.
In the running for most beautiful cafe in NYC, Astoria's 60 Beans is staffed primarily by Cafe Grumpy alums, serves George Howell coffee, has lots of seating "neighborhoods," wifi, some plugs.
Friendly, quiet neighborhood spot with attractive design, using rotating coffee roasters, currently one we're not familiar with, Deeper Roots, out of Cincinnati. Good place to read or work. (8/14)
