Superb! Spaghetti sauce is amazing, with the perfect amount of spice! Short ribsappetizer was so perfect. Oh! And the bread! Yum. Carrot cake and the penna cotta were both delicious. Will come again
First time dining at the new location: we liked the new space. The food is still top-notch (grilled turbot was fantastic). Watch-out for the “beautiful & rich crowd” on week-ends.
Stick with the pastas, especially the spaghetti w tomato and basil & the duck and foie gras ravioli. And don't forget to leave room for the banana bread w chocolate stoutice cream!
This was one of the best meals and dining experiences of my life. The food was fantastic, presentation was wonderful and the service was too. Ambience is also great. I'll be back many times.
Best dishes were the yellowtailappetizer and duckfois grasravioli. If the pistachio cake is on the menu, forget about your carb free diet and indulge. The extra calories will be worth it.
Scarpetta is an all around fabulous restaurant. Service is top notch, the decor is rich and moody and the food can't be beat. Portions are not shareable but not small either. Cuteoutdoor area too
Braised baby goat remains the center of the menu, but the pastas are even better, including anolotti dal plin. This was the Village Voice's 2009 Best Of winner for an Italian RestaurantRead more
Try the Pici Pasta dish, new on the menu, probably one of the best pasta dishes I've had in my life. Stracciatellaappetizer was amazing too. Lamb neck cavatelli was 2nd best of the night.
The signature pasta remains a homemadespaghetti in a light tomato sauce. The name of the restaurant means 'little shoe,' referring to the bread you'll use to scoop every ever last bit of sauce. Read more
Quite possibly the best dining experience I've ever had in New York - and I've lived here my whole life. Perfect dinner: the garden salad, Branzino & Olive Oil cake for dessert!
Not only does it serve the most delicious Italian food in New York, but this place has style, elegance and romantic setting on point. With friends or as a couple, this place is an experience.
The creamy polenta and spaghetti and basil are as good as everyone says. If you want meat, try the pork chop! Save room for dessert cos the banana bread and chocolate cake are fabulous!
The only way to experience this place is the Tasting Menu with wine pairings. Most memorable dish I can remember was the short ribs over risotto with the trufflepolenta and mushrooms. Do it right.
Everything was soooo delicious. Definitely get the polentaappetizer though! Burrata and heirloom tomato salad was amazing and so was the halibut. Light and delicious! Leaves room for chocolate cake!
Definitely try the signature spaghetti with tomato sauce and basil - simple but delicious. The coconutpanna cotta is a nice light dessert to cap a hearty meal of pasta.
amazingly delicious- short ribagnolotti &spaghetti dishes are highly recommended. duck was fantastic and for appetizers order the polenta - you'll be thinking about this fantastic meal the next day!

Begin your meal with the bread basket (the strombolibread!) and don't forget to order the life-changing Creamy Polenta with fricassée of truffledmushroom, and any of their excellent pastas.
This pasta topped with tangytomato sauce and ribbons of basil is possibly the simplest dish on this list, but there’s no lack of flavor here. Each melt-in-your-mouth bite is tastier than the last. Read more
All the homemade pasta was delicious but the Spaghetti was a stand-out. They somehow managed to get so much flavour out of a simple pasta and it was very impressive.
Warm and enticing Italian restaurant. Try the Mozzarella In Carrozza followed by the Short RibAgnolotti or the Duck & Foie Gras Ravioli. Try not to fill up on the delicious bread basket.
Quality of food and service have deteriorated since the move to the new location. The signature spaghetti dish is still good but no longer mind-blowing. Less about the food, more about being seen now.
A must-visit restaurant! Get the fritto misto, the creamy polenta with mushroom fricassee, the spaghetti w/ tomato and basil and the moist-roasted capretto. You will not stop thinking about this meal!
The spaghetti and basil is house-made spaghetti, tomato sauce and a sprinkle of basil - it's so fresh and packed with flavor you'll believe you're eating something far more complicated. Read more
