- Long security lines so plan ahead or do priority! Also SWA gates 1 & 2 require security again for connecting
- DougOctober 4, 2017Small airport but recently remodeled. Fairly easy to navigate. Clean and spacious.
- Use the bathroom before going through security, if you're able. There is just one in gate, everyone has to go!

- Make sure to enjoy some TCBY frozen yogurt. To my knowledge it's the only place in San Diego to get it.

- Cindy LopezNovember 29, 2013If you are connecting in LAX make sure to go to commuter terminal otherwise you have to take the airport loop bus to get there.
- If you're flying Southwest, make sure you get in the security line as soon as possible. The line gets super long. Don't moss your flight!
- I like how you tag your own bag with Alaska, considering that I've had agents almost put the wrong one on mine before.
- Welcome to Sunny San Diego! Enjoy our downtown & have fun during your stay!
- Small and convenient, though aot of times TSAPre isn't open. They give you a pass to keep your shoes on but it isn't the full program.
- Staci RaeAugust 18, 2013Delta's First Class service is not as nice as it used to be! Beside the free drink I feel like I am on a Southwest flight!
- Southwest terminal main boarding area has a very crowded and small men's room. Take care of business downstairs before going through security.
- If flying out of T2 north security lines tend to be shorter and pre check is available here too
- Sahar AhmadSeptember 6, 2012Security will let you through to any gate terminal. Make sure you check overhead signs declaring what gates are past your checkpoint! Security lines can be crazy long.
- RoscoeMay 14, 2013Was at Gate 47 in Terminal 2 and each seat has a phone charger jack and USB port. Brilliant!
- If your flying out United, don't pass up a Bloody Mary at the Sports Bar next to Gate 14. Best Mary around! Order it spicy. :)
- New terminal 2 is pretty great! Nice to see we caught up with services at other airports!
- SD is a great place to visit or live. Just be ready for lots of congestion.

- As long as you're in terminal 2 you'll be ok, if you're in terminal 1 on a busy weekend, good luck finding a seat.

- Make sure you get onto the Pre TSA program if possible, back to the good old days of security check point!
- Get yourself a ride through Uber or Lyft the moment you touch down, otherwise they all get picked up pretty quick!
- Why is this city so delusional about the idea of a bigger airport? It's one thing to wait forever to go through security but something completely different when you don't have room for the line.
- The burger place at Southwest's terminal is AMAZING!!!!
- Tricia DzialoMay 30, 2013New terminal 2 still in construction. The plus is the in the waiting area all the seat have an electrical outlet.
- Relatively small airport but security is mostly quick. Limited decent options for food but Peet's and Einstein are my personal fav after Aspire Club
- I'm not a fan of the off-site rental car center. Otherwise, this is a decent enough airport. Very busy at times.
- In terminal 2, security is quickest in the am. Terminal 1 can often be the opposite. Staff are often very friendly unless you're rude to them. Lots of Starbucks and they're building another one in T2.

- Easy airport to fly in and out of. They are renovating the Admirals Club--can't wait to see it!
- Go to Neighborhood at 777 G St and ask the waitress about Noble Experiment. See the city from the Altitude Bar at the Gaslamp Marriott. It's breathtaking.
- Terminal 2 now open. No more funky uturn if you are coming from Point Loma.

- Eat before you go back to gate! It’s too crowded once you get beyond security
