Established in 1702, this is known as America’s oldest residential street and today is lined with more than 30 houses, dating from the 1720s to 1830s.
Completed in 1913, this was the world’s tallest skyscraper until 1930, when it was surpassed in height by the Chrysler Building, also in New York City.
