DensJuly 14, 2014Can't think of a better $5 sandwich. Minced pork (#3) is my go-to, tho bring a friend or 2 and do some splitty-split. Don't fear The Spicy.
I've tried all of the vegan sandwiches and they are all amazing! My favorites are the curry tofu and the lemongrass tofu. Cash only but cheep! Sandwiches are large and can be two meals. Get it spicy!

I've been coming here for years and the food is consistently fresh and the old man who takes the orders is super, super nice. Can't really beat $4.50 for a giant bahn mi (easily two meals).
I work in the neighborhood, and the $5.50 House sandwich (option 1), spicy, is probably the best value around.

I get the curry chicken here all the time and have yet to be disappointed. Slightly more expensive (by $0.75) than the shop around the corner, but it's worth it.

The best place in town for banh mi! Get the special with all the cold cuts + extra pate.

Get the #10, House Special Vegetarian. (Tofu, Mushroom, Carrot & Sweet Radish) Ask for it extra spicy. You can't go wrong!
for an extra kick, ask for your banh mi to be made extra spicy. to really get crazy, drizzle that sandwich in sriracha.
- The hype is real. Get the #1, pay $5, enjoy a delicious sandwich big enough for lunch AND dinner.
- The trick: call five minutes ahead of time, say you want a #1 spicy for pick-up, then head to the deli.
- Viet coffee (hot) is can’t miss. My favorite amongst places visited in Houston and NYC!
