If you're looking for the most traditional Vietnamese Sandwich, order #5, the pate supreme. And for $1 more get extra pate--treat yoself.

The best banh mi sandwich in NYC! If you are a fan of liver pâté, no. 5 pâté is a must!

I always get the #4 ground pork with sweet glaze & I order it spicy. Apparently walking food tours now stop here. It's still just as great & the owner just as nice

Can't think of a better $5 sandwich. Minced pork (#3) is my go-to, tho bring a friend or 2 and do some splitty-split. Don't fear The Spicy.

I've tried all of the vegan sandwiches and they are all amazing! My favorites are the curry tofu and the lemongrass tofu. Cash only but cheep! Sandwiches are large and can be two meals. Get it spicy!

I work about a block away from here. Owner is very friendly, I love to get the Pork Glaze Banh Mi but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The lunch rush settles down around 1:30pm

This unassuming place has one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted!! Get the house special. And it's only five dollars!! It could have been ten dollars and still would have been an amazing deal.

A staple of the area. Get the classic pork #1 or the vegetarian curry chicken. Order it spicy if you want them to add jalapeños.

The filling in the bahn mi sandwiches are the best part here, abundant and tasty, the house special barbecued pork version is more flavorful than the pâté sandwich.

I've been coming here for years and the food is consistently fresh and the old man who takes the orders is super, super nice. Can't really beat $4.50 for a giant bahn mi (easily two meals).

#1 House Special is incredible -- and for $5 probably the best cheap eats option around. Careful though - they take requests for extra spicy REALLY seriously, so make sure you like it hot.

Omg is so good! It's not even that spicy if you get the spicy one. Though my pallet for spice is good. : Bánh mì xiéu mại - meatballs with pork and water chestnut
