- Not cheapest compared to others in C'Town but ingredients & tastes are fresh, clean & pretty authentic..making this Vietnamese the best pho, Cha gio, Grilled Pork Chops, & banh mi place in NYC!
- Beril EsenNovember 4, 2017Say you're looking for a modern take on Vietnamese food that's not going to break your bank: this is your spot. Line to wait is long, but moves fast. Try the duck vermicelli and spicy brisket banh mi.
- Betsie WilsonAugust 12, 2015Great prices and great for a quick bite, despite that it's pretty crowded during lunch. The Vietnamese coffee is authentic and their banh mi's and bùn's (vermicelli noodle bowls) are great for Togo.
- Emily WilsonMarch 14, 2016If you're hungry, go for the grilled pork chops, shrimp, & spring rolls over rice or vermicelli. It's delicious, filling, and a steal at only $11.95.
- Cindy lauApril 15, 2015Banh mi classic is legit. Summer rolls are meh. Pho broth is literally some of the best I've had. Cash only. Long wait times if you're dining in but worth it.
- Berk KapiciogluNovember 15, 2015Get the duck com, which is duck with rice. Great spot for quick meals. Low key, but always crowded. You would wait less if you come by yourself. They keep the restaurant quite warm during winter.
- Spicy Special or Saigon Shack pho. Perfect sliced beef topping. Spring rolls and Vietnam sandwiches are also fabulous but I bet you can't finish them and the pho all at once ;)
- Juliana AmorimSeptember 22, 2014Absolutely amazing! And cheap! You can have a HUGE noodle soup for 8 bucks (which you can share, quite frankly). Try the beef pho or brisket pho. And the cucumber lemonade! What an experience!
- Jerry De SouzaSeptember 9, 2016love it, reminds me of home. the girls are so chirpy and attentive. In summary authentic tasting, great service with young hip environment.
- Jess NaldoOctober 7, 2014Closest and most consistent place to west coast quality pho I've had in my several years in NYC. Great ingredients, many options, and lovely service. Love that they're open late but cash only!
- Nate BeattyOctober 18, 2015The best part is the bánh mì, pho, and spring rolls will be the best you've ever had. Second best part is that you get more dishes than you can eat for $10-15 bucks
- John AOctober 14, 2015Tasty and fresh Vietnamese food. Vegetarian options.. Including vegetarian pho. Recommend crab cakes. Fun environment, be prepared to wait for a seat.
- JulieFebruary 7, 2015I had the Saigon Shack Pho and my friend had the lemongrass chicken pho. Both were delicious and huge, but the chicken was extra special. The brisket was my favorite meat of the pho.
- probably the best pho I've ever had. Place was packed when I went. Prices are very reasonable & the grilled lemongrass chicken pho was to die for 😋
- Martijn SijtsmaFebruary 14, 2018I've been to Vietnam - this is the real thing 😍 Great pho classic with beef and superb lemon grass chicken bahn mi 😊
- Samantha GoldsberryJune 7, 2013The pho is definitely on the upper end of quality, but the spring rolls are f#cking amazing. Also, get a cup of Vietnamese coffee (hot or cold) to go when you leave. You won't regret it.
- Best pho in NYC. The lemongrass chicken is also delicious. Long lines but they move quickly, and take out is really fast. I love this place!
- LashaApril 14, 2016Sandwiches are great! The spicy brisket is delicious. Everyone who dines in usually get the soups. Will be back for sure.
- ssmplApril 27, 2018Loved this place. Everything we had was great! From fresh rolls, pho bo, fish banh mi to duck vermicelli 👌
- Leslie TengApril 2, 2016Get the food to go, because there's always a line out the door. Their bahn mi sandwich is very good. And beware: the spicy version is actually very spicy. One sandwich will keep you full all night.
- LaylaOctober 19, 2019Amaaaazing pho! The beef is so tender, also loved the coconut Vietnamese coffee! Service very friendly and efficient.
- Berk KapiciogluDecember 6, 2015The food is delicious. Service is very quick. There is usually a line, but it goes fast. It's cheap and cash only. My favorite dish is duck with rice.
- Aaron CallowayJuly 12, 2013Finally a Vietnamese restaurant that has the best of everything. Pho, Banh Mi sandwiches, Spring rolls and vermicelli bowls! This is now my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. And they're open late!
- My go-to for hearty comfort food. You can’t go wrong with the vegan pho or the fried fish banh mi.
- Jin TSeptember 22, 2018Actually I do not think the pho here is authentic at all. The noodles are just not right, the texture is way too firm compared to the phos I had in Vietnam. Typical pho noodles are wider and softer.
- Emily BennettAugust 24, 2016The BBQ pork bahn mi was delicious; but not really traditional Vietnamese pork bahn mi. I think the beef or the ham would have been more traditional, but still really good food!
- Eden NgMay 10, 2015Absolutely amazing viet! Haven't tried the pho but the banh mi and vermicelli salad were delish :) always a bit crowded though
- Lee SimpsonJanuary 25, 2017My second favorite pho spot in NYC. There's always a wait but it's well worth. You can't go wrong with the house pho and summer rolls.
- Affordable, tasty Vietnamese. Friendly staff! The grilled pork on rice vermicelli noodles and the beef phô are personal faves. GENEROUS servings, so come hungry & be prepared to take leftovers home!
- Silene LimJuly 14, 2018Despite high ratings, this isn’t one of my favorite V places for pho, even for “neuvo”. Broth isn’t as delicious other places and noodles over cooked. I expected so much, yet they delivered little.
- Christine WongOctober 19, 2014Solid and most authentic viet spot in the west village and surrounding area. If you're ever in the mood for a pho fix or craving some spring rolls, this place definitely hits the spot.
- Wow, huge portions for low prices. Get the Saigon Shack pho and summer rolls with shrimp! You could probably split one portion with a second person.
- EArchitectJune 26, 2016Cash-only. Asked for marque Vietnamese dishes: Chả Giò, Phở & Bánh Mì Xá Xíu. Lady at the counter looked puzzled upon hearing the words. Not a good sign for authenticity. Food was good. Not the best.
- Naveen KonduruAugust 23, 2014Very good, highly recommend for authentic food. For comments about wait staff trying to rush you out, it's because their menu is extremely inexpensive, so they compensate with large turnover.
- Best Pho I ever had in NY. They use different type of rice noodle and its great. Classic Banh Mi is cheap and tasty, great for lunch.
- Kevin StappJanuary 15, 2019Popular place that doesn’t take reservations- be prepared to wait, but so worth it. Amazing Pho! Friendly and super-efficient service. Cash only
- Two thumbs up! Delicious food, lots of veggie options, open late, nice decor and very reasonable prices! Only downside - cash only. -@parttimeveganbf
- Malcolm RingMay 26, 2015Bahn Mi, Vermicelli Bowl, Sweet Potato Fries are all really good and fresh. Food comes out really quick.
- Natasha MoriniOctober 18, 2015First time having pho and OMG! Sorry grandma but this beats chicken noodle soup. I got the lemongrass chicken and it was perfect in every way. Also cucumber water!
- Larry LaBurrFebruary 2, 2015The crab cake banh mi was phenomenal and spicy. Communal seating was fine since we were a group of six anyway. Hated that we were next to the door and the frigid air kept rushing in, but that's on us.
- BasakJanuary 29, 2016Dat crispy duck with rice though!! There is always a wait but it's absolutely worth it. Heads up, cash only!!
- Celena ChanAugust 7, 2015Large portions-- I love the Saigon shack pho and the bun plates-- esp the lemongrass chicken! Good for solo and 2-3 ppl, can get crowded.
- Utku UralJune 7, 2018Pretty difficult to beat the price point here for some amazing banh mi. The pho is also incredible but the traditional pork banh mi steals the show.
- I'm Vietnamese and I thought the banh mi, pork chop bun, and pho were pretty solid. Get a cafe sua da to go. Fast service. Good for lunch.
- SaraJanuary 2, 2015Food here is so good and inexpensive-don't expect great service. Our waitress took our order while smacking with food in her mouth. They will snatch your plate while you're still eating so eat fast
- Fernanda CastanhoMarch 8, 2014Tasty food for a very fair price. What else could you ask for? Highly recommend the lemongrass chicken pho, the spring rolls and the cucumber juice.
- NeilApril 18, 2016Don't be put off by the 15 minute wait; this place has a quick and slick turnaround. Had a delicious pork chop bun mhi and a good chicken pho.
- StevenAugust 26, 2016Get the grilled pork, shrimp and spring roll combo. So good! Duck banh mi also has great sauce and flavor. Cash only!
- Mike PNovember 16, 2017This place is absolutely amazing. I've had many types of Pho and this is by far the best I've ever had. Highly recommended!
- Namitta ShankarJune 7, 2012Good veggie banh mi with tofu. Love the sauce on the side, you can taste every ingredient (ginger sauce) in it. Very fresh great portions. Great service as well. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
