Pegasus, Sunexpress and Anadolu Jet Airlines fly out from here. It's always clean, quiet and efficient. Food is expensive as in all Turkish airports. Bring your own if you like. Love this airport.
The airport is fine but it’s location is the way worse than the Atatürk one. We’ve reserved Kiwitaxi to Sultanmohammad square for 50$ per group of 4 which was a great decision that saved us time
This airport knows exactly how to work. It's small, cozy & after hs of layover when you need at least a glass of water or wifi, sooner or later you'll give in, exchange money and buy 20TL wifi😑
An extra Runway should be built in order to host millions of passengers estimated in the future from Eastern Destinations and to be the 2nd hub of Turkish Airlines. Work Harder SAW!
I like this airport more than "ataturk" it's cleaner and kinda cozy. Only bad thing i remember about this place is wifi. it's not free :/ at the end of the gates there is small lounge mostly empty👌🏻
This airport is the world's largest earthquake-proof building. It has a stunning 2 million square feet surface and is able to resist a 8.0 magnitude earthquake without suffering major damage.
Very cleanairport, quiet with many shops! The only bad is that it is small but as i listen government will make it bigger!if this change it will be perfect!!
'Fun' fact: As in urgency, using passport control fast track you need to purchase a ticket for 35 lira.. Sounds reasonable for those buying time but also sensible to say this is disgrateful hijacking
Wishing everyone safe & enjoyable trip! Watch your bags, passports & tickets. Arrive early to airport 3-4 hours, enjoy shopping in Duty Free & stay nearby your Gate. نتمنى سفر آمن و ممتع للجميع.
Don't order transfer from the airport in advance- you may get it at the airport for 10Euro (if asking for a bargain). Or use the route bus to Taksim (10 Liras) and then metro to wherever you need.
Everything was very fast and good to the check-out, actually my wonder and knife... Despite of turning back home has been thought, I'm going :( Complicated!
One of the busiest & chaotic airports I have visited. International arrivals should give out earplugs.. police sirens, whistles & constant car honking 🫣
You definitely need to visit this airport, if you'd like to quit smoking. The airport is huge, and smoking is allowed nowhere :) However, I liked this place, because it's lovely Turkey! :)
Like to plan ahead for vacations? Book with Turkish Airlines and travel to Venice from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport for your next holiday!
After extensive search found unrestricted wifi near the domestic arrivals (ground floor), with seats available near the car rental offices and ATMs. Enjoy!
Free internet-Bedava internet candir kahve dunyasi dis hatlar :-) for free internet at international departure go to kahve dunyasi coffee shop which is near the passport control.
Weird travelers, it is a mess because they are not sticking on their assigned seats numbers, most flights get delayed due to customers changing their seats. بعض الركاب يغيرون مقاعدهم مما يسبب تأخير..
Really far from town, make sure to leave ridiculously early in peak times like Friday afternoon. For food my place of choice is Kahve Dünyasi in the domestic terminal.
You don't have to take one of the airport cabs, you can download BiTaksi app, register your credit card and pay no cash. Besides you won't be deceived by the taxi driver, BiTaksi is safe.
This airport far from European side but very fast in check in and boarding because always not very busy in international flights. Use havatas bus to access to the European side.
Whenever I fly from or to Sabiha Gokcen we have an issue.Today we are on board and we do have a delay for 30mins. Why? There is a construction work on the taxi way..! This is an international airport!
Baby changing facility; Ordinary restrooms leave a bit to be desired, but “hiding” behind the Modo cafe in the checkin area before customs there is fresh and spacious location.
After passport control go left and find Gate 202 or Es Beer Gate Cafe or Terrace signboard for those who are looking for a designated smoking area. You’re welcome.
I can't manage to find a slice of lemon in all cafés/restourants of departure floor. But the airport is comfortable and after security checks there're large Windows over the apron and smocking terrace
Very unpleasant experience with their passports control. Only two officers for multiple flights.. While for Turkish nationals they have five officers.. Forgot it, wouldn't repeat the experience..
Take the express buses (E10) outside of the terminal which are going to Kadikoy Ferry Stations (final station) where you can get into the ferries to across to European side very cheap and fast..
A very strange airport, NO free wifi and overpriced shops but relatively clean and fast. Be prepared for extra security check at the entrance to building. For cheap transfer to city use bus E11.
There is a lounge on the second floor, for entrance I payed 15 euros and it includes some food, like snacks, salads and even Turkish Chorba! And also wifi internet. The staff is very unfriendly!!!
There is also a terrace where the gates 301-307 are located. Smaller but usually less crowded. The cafe inside the terrace doesn’t have alcoholic beverages.
