You go for the vodka, not the service. Piano player is a good touch. Must try 6 flavor option for $33. Grapefruit, horseradish, ginger, peachapricot, pineapple are great flavors.
When going to the Russian Vodak Room, order the pickledvegetable platter; sucking the pulp out of a brined tomato is a life-changing Russian culinary tradition rarely experienced in Manhattan. Read more
One of the most amazing and bizarre places in NYC. Great vodkas in a late 60's atmosphere. From piano music to the uncomfortable couch, everything is awkward, but somehow everything works just fine.
Great fusion vodka selection. Layla and the rest of the musicians were great as well. Fun atmosphere, and had a really good time. Live music every Friday and Saturday night!!!
“One night, a bartender…was asked to name her favorite thing on the menu. For just a moment, her face softened and she lit up: ‘The meat dumplings are fantastic.’” Read more
The infused vodkas aren't really worth the effort. Just get you vodka chilled if you want less vodka flavor. For me, I love the natural flavor of vodka. The burratasalad is delicious and big.
My fave Russian place in Manhattan. All food was great, drink-wise loved the horseradishBloody Mary. There's a wide selection of infused vodkas, the best I've seen so far!
Happy hour till 7pm for $6 flavored martinis that were strong. Gravlax platter with potato pancakes were awesome $16. Crab cakes were only ok, 2 for $12
It's a vodka room, let your imagination take you away! A wall of it, ask the bartender for a recommendation...best served ice cold and in a shot glass. Zyr is my favorite.
The horseradishvodka is worth trying but will require one to have an acquired taste to truly enjoy it all night. Live piano is the cherry on top. It makes your experience slightly less overwhelming.
My favorite Midtown Manhattanbar. Great mix of characters and Russian ambiance. It's a small space that fills up fast. Warning: the martinis are mean and strong.
Pretend you’re a Soviet-era spy laying low in this dark lounge as you pop mouthfuls of caviar and blini, chased with ice cold house-infused vodka and accompanied by live piano music. - Buzzfeed
Waitress are cold but they are Russian. Take only one cocktail it is worth two in alcohol. Great place to start a night, be careful you might finish there.
The horseradish vodka-based cocktail definitely lived up to its name but was way too much. None of the novelty cocktails sounded especially appealing. Good appetizers though!
Had a blast at our after party here! Still a chance to catch the film at the IFC Center. "One of the best films of the year" -The Huffington Post. In Russian w/ English subtitles. Ends Aug 19th. Read more
