1. Alafia River State Park
Rich Stackon: tons of trails from novice to expert. First times stick to the easy trails, semi-experienced hit the blue, and the good riders hit the black/double black diamonds.
2. Balm Boyette Scrub Preserve
Rich Stackon: KILLER biking. A lot more variety than Alafia, and nothing as difficult. WARNING: Take a lot of water.
3. San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park
Rich Stackon: One of the best in Florida. Hills and great singletrack. Conquistador is a lung buster.
4. Markham Park
Rich Stackon: Great place. Excellent and fun trails with features. Camping, dog park, all kinds of other activities. Trails are well kept.
5. Oleta River State Park
Rich Stackon: Nice place, not as good as Markham. Trails are ok, but lack in the fun factor that Markham has.
6. Santos Trailhead
Rich Stackon: One of the best MTB spots in Florida. Camping, lots of parking, Ocala MTB Association holds events and the place is huge.
