- Ugur KanerFebruary 19, 2015One of the best popup coffee shops I've been. Great coffee and staff. Pro tip: Grab a Smitten ice cream next door and add a shot of espresso from Ritual. Best Affogato you might think of.
- Aaron CruzJuly 24, 2014Enjoy a great coffee outside on the lounge chairs from the kiosk that sits right in the heart of the Hayes Valley neighborhood. Friendly and knowledgeable baristas. Get a pour over or a Macchiato.
- Becca GilganFebruary 2, 2015Just good people making great coffee. On a sunny day (or any day) grab a seat in the Proxy and enjoy your brew. If you spot a roast with marshmallow notes, be sure to get it.Upvoted Oct 6
- The best coffee in Hayes with the chillest baristas. Good for both the morning commute and the Saturday afternoon Hayes stroll.
- My favorite baristas at a still locally-owned San Francisco coffee roaster. Excellent pour overs and lattes, particularly the soy, which is often too soy-tasting in many places.
- Ashley MowreyFebruary 11, 2015This place is my favorite. Outdoor seating and beautiful baristas, with a juice bar, a pizza truck, beer garden, and ice cream next to it. Get drunk, caffeinated, hyper, and overstuffed all in one go.
- Consistent pour overs with a lighter roast than Blue Bottle's, and a shorter line to boot. Grab a seat outside and enjoy the sunshine!
- Ugur KanerMarch 26, 2015Pro tip: Get a scoop of Smitten ice cream next door, add a shot of Espresso here and enjoy your Affogato ☕️🍦🌞🎉
- Kevin PrattAugust 13, 2017Ethiopia Duromina beans are are a light roast with a plenty of fruit tones in the mouth of the cup. The chunky intro to the cup has notes of bitter and tart lemon grass and over ripe strawberry.
- Taylor WilliamsAugust 30, 2014This is a perfect location for anyone getting a quick to-go beverage or staying to enjoy nice weather in their patio seating. I got the cold brew and it was beyond!
- Jojo R.July 11, 2014Really loved my one-and-one. Skilled and friendly baristas. They asked if they now have sugar at Handsome Coffee in LA and gasped in disgust when I confirmed. I like these folks :)
- My favorite spot for pour-overs in the city. There are several other locations in the city as well (Mission, Haight, Castro, Bayview).
- Rachael CoxApril 3, 2020This coffee shop is a must for coffee lovers! The barista and servers are very friendly and welcoming. A must-visit coffee shop!
- Ask for your choice of espresso beans in your espresso based drink! Everything's good!
- Bennett W WongAugust 24, 2016Homemade pastries pair well with a beautifully handcrafted and artistically decorated latte. Friendly team members and prompt service.
- Erin MerchantJanuary 30, 2015Lattes are solid. Service is friendly and prompt. Cool light fixture. Love the to-go jars.
- John KhuuDecember 17, 2015Bundle up, grab a latte, and soak up the sun (or rain) sitting outside at this cafe. A good spot to meet up with friends in the morning.
- Beerblondie Victoria OlsonAugust 3, 2015Try their signature beverage. Changes frequently, but always the way to go. If you have time, sit down and sip it in a for her glass. :)
- Tamela AllisterApril 17The coffee is very rich and smooth. A lot more delicate and refined. It is comforting and even addictive, every sip tastes great.
- Phil AdamsMarch 13, 2016Yes, the coffee is very good. But more importantly, I always end up having a great conversation with someone whenever I visit here :)
- You can't go wrong. Pour overs are delicious. They have just a few amazing baked goods. Only outdoor seating

- David AdamsAugust 6, 2014Fans of single-origin pour over coffee, stop by, grab a cup, then sip it at the lovely Hayes Valley park.
- David RiordanJanuary 3, 2013These folks totally own filter coffee. The espresso is great but you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't get the pour-over.

- Square, Inc.December 19, 2012Grab an espresso and pay at the counter with Square Wallet! https://squareup.com/wallet
- Try the iced coffee. Also great to pair with Smitten Ice Cream on the other side.
- Great design and delicious espresso drinks. Seating for people-watching too.
- Friendliest baristas here. Get a tumbler for your coffee too.
- JoycottDecember 2, 2013Ritual sources tons of great coffee and does so while providing a living wage. How awesome is that?
- Best pop-up design I've ever witnessed. Details are flawless, from displays to the seating, and their lattes? Blue Bottle should be nervous!
- Ashley RoseMay 18, 2018Slow service but central location at this Ritual. Get your macchiato to stay and have a seat in the courtyard. Prime people watching.
