Hows this place not rated higher? Rita's was the highlight of my college years in Philly, so happy they opened here. What I always get: large gelati - vanilla custard, mango on top, cherry on bottom.

Take your dessert, make a right, cross the street, and walk the two blocks down Strand to the beach. On warm nights with Rita's in your hand, it's perfect.

Check the website for the Italian ice flavors of the day. Cherry with vanilla or chocolate custard (as a gelati) rocks.

I LOVE Rita's! Alex's Lemonade and watermelon chip are my two favorite flavors. Yum.
