- Right Proper is always making fresh beer and rotating brews in, so ask your bartender what's new on tap. Typically the low-alcohol Ornette saison will be on tap, but otherwise expect variety.
- M BJanuary 21, 2018This place is multinational. The biscuit and jam had me thinking of my time in England. The deep fried breakfast burrito had me thinking of central Texas. And the beer menu is incredibly diverse!
- After a few delicious beers, you're going to need to eat to continue, enter the Wood-Grilled Burger on a brioche bun with Duke's mayo and house-smoked Tillamook cheddar, add Benton's smoked bacon.
- Wonderful beer selection + ciders. Grab drinks in the large bar area while you wait for your table. Absolutely order Mac and cheese you won't regret it. They also have cheese a la carte to go.
- Good neighborhood brewery! While they are a brewery, you come for the beer, stay for the food. Always inventive, creative beer styles that are slightly different but the food ways steals the show!
- Daniel GraysonDecember 31, 2016Great beers, cool menu, nice vibe that doesn't get too loud even when it's crazy crowded. And I've yet to be in a DC bar with prices this fair.
- Megan LillyAugust 6, 2019Perfect blend of good food and good beer! Start off with a sour beer and warm pretzel bread. Then move on to a "selfie" and a heavier beer. They also have a production house in Brookland.
- Sophia HOctober 14, 2016Great beer! Haxan porter and Blanc Slate farmhouse ale were excellent. Service was stellar, very quick and attentive - I was impressed, seriously. Bike & Brew events here are a BLAST

- Diana BrodyAugust 18, 2017Loved the ciders, which were delightfully dry, and IPAs, which were citrusy and flavorful (not just straight hops). Also, super knowledgeable and friendly bar staff!
- Ekta DaryananiJanuary 15, 2015Nice spacious bar with an awesome beer selection. Was surprised by how good he food was - Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese and the dips are all yummy!
- Alex OrrFebruary 6, 2014Excellent house made brews at a very nice price. Vaunted pork rinds were disappointing and their pimento cheese sucks...it's basically queso. Chick sandwich was very tasty bar grub.
- Roshan SadananiJanuary 5, 2016Awesome chalk mural, good variety of beer, and lots of space / seating to hang out and have a conversation.
- Fave brewery in DC! Yeast-focused (as opposed to hops) beers with many wild, sour & saisons on hand. Excellent cheese selection.
- Ben NebbMarch 30, 2014Right Proper gets very busy so arrive early to snag a good spot to stand. All the house brewed beers I've tried have been complex but also approachable.
- David CoreyOctober 19, 2014The Chicken sandwich is a-mazing. Worth coming back, just because. The brews are also very tasty.
- Washington PostApril 10, 2014The crunchy chicken liver pieces go through a bath of buttermilk and a re tossed in flour for a thick coat of crunch. Built for the adventurous, they're served with house-made mumbo sauce. Read more
- Brent GatewoodJune 26, 2017Yes, the beer is good. But so is the food (had the Chick Filet). I'll be back!
- Bitches Who BrunchJune 14, 2015The Bitches say: A-. We love the patio and the vibe at this cool, local brewery. We wish they served a beermosas and threw a few more brunch items on their morning menu. Read more
- Danielle DaSilvaJuly 13, 2018Craft brewery and restaurant. They also feature wines on tap. The beer is great, but cheese curds, cheese curds, cheese curds!
- Gizem KJuly 31, 2015Half beers are a great deal. We went with 5 people and ordered the whole beer menu!
- ArdvaarkJuly 11, 2014Count how many of the DC animal memes on the amazing mural have fake Twitter accounts.
