My favorite tasting menu of all time. Chef serves different dishes for certain courses for each dinner so you can maximize your tasting! Def going back for more!
A tasting menu that appears deceptively simple yet reveals layers of surprises in flavours and techniques. Magnificent produce and superb execution make for one of SF's best tables.
Bites: potato chip with a sardine on top $2 each, porcini donuts with cheese sauce, 7 for $9, salmon sashimi with sukiyaki broth $19, tomato aguachile with avocadotostada $17 & uni pasta
Unusual, interesting but not complicated dishes. Every time it's a wonderful dinner! Be kind to yourself - have an appetizer, an entrée and a dessert, and of course a couple cocktails!
The tasting menu is a crazy deal. It's just a barrage of inventive dishes, including some off-menu. This quickly became one of my favorite restaurants in SF. Read more on WinstonWanders.com
The Chef's Tasting Menu is generous and reasonably priced at $88pp. Everyone on the table needs to order it. However, dishes served are difft per person so you get to taste a wide gamut of options.
Fantastic- can squeeze into the bar on most nights. They have a burger at the bar that's lights out. Let them make you cocktails. Focus on pasta and steak and the funkiest appetizer. Sardine chips.
One of my fav places in Sf. The food is amazing and really worth every penny. Try the sardine chips , porcini doughnutsappetisers . Soft shell crablo mein and ricotta were yum. Cocktails are 👍🏽
The cult dish is the sardine chips ($7), with a filet threaded through a crisp potato chip that you dip into horseradish cream—it’s the new gourmand’s hot pocket. Read more
Rich table is just wonderful! Experimental, but really tasty dishes, great cocktails, and fantastic desserts. If you enjoy textures and interesting flavor pairings - this is the place for you.
One of my favorite restaurants in SF. Porcini donughts were unbelievable, burata Carmelle pasta was good but not special, duck breast was tender and delicious and their off menumint chocolate dollops
A tremendously great experience all around. Great food, delish cocktails, and attentive service. We had 3 starters, 2 pastas and the steak and shared everything (our own little tasting menu).
Good vegetarian options but the menu changes slightly each time you go! The dumpling/gnocchi starter that was awesome, asparagus was cold (blegh), donuts were great, avocadoappetizer is also good.
The dried porcini doughnuts and misorisotto with black truffle were life changing. We also had the roasted squashdumpling, burratatostada, and bread. Would highly recommend them all.
Castelvetrano olives are a staple of many restaurants, but this version had the brilliant addition of fresh celery and preserved lemon, which enhanced the anticipation of biting into the mild olives. Read more
You'll have a hard time deciding what to order but don't fret. Everything is delicious. But you must start off with the Porcini Doughnuts & Sardine Chips (you'll enjoy even if you don't like sardines)
Riches has built a menu around delicious but often unusual flavor combinations, brilliantly conceived salads, and must-have staples like those porcini doughnuts and sardine chips. Read more
Get the chefs tasting. Be warned that people won't get to eat the same thing if everyone gets it as a group but about 2/3rds of folks end up sharing a bite or two.
Incredible culinary style and quality. Some dishes are distinctly Californian and all are delicious! Tasting menu is a great way to experience this place!
The menu kicks off with signature house-made levain flavored with wild fennel; the thick slices ($4), toasted and served with house-cultured butter, are well worth the charge. Read more
Tasting menu is a bargain! Very creative food, perfectly prepared. Can be a bit noisy in the casual dining room. Service is great. Can't wait to go back.
Everything! Get everything! I suggest doing the tasting menu, but if you have the time and a huge appetite. It's 8 amazing courses, different every time!
Evan and Sarah Rich are crushing it - we’re especially fond of their Brandade with Churros and Sour Orange, Tagliatelle with Dry Aged Beef, and the Scallops with Creamed Nettles.
Make a reservation -- it's a pretty small space and the tables are close together. Be prepared to for the full on communal dining experience. The chef even came over to tell us about our appetizer! :)
Dishes at this homeyrestaurant balance acidity and texture, and highlight surprise ingredients—sardine-laced potato chips are served with horseradish sauce; chicken lasagna with popped sorghum.
The tasting menu is very reasonably priced and is great value at ~10 courses for $80. Despite being insanely full, you'll want to finish each of the courses served because they are that good.
Loved the donuts and hummus app. Bread and meal (we split crab pasta and cod) were fine. Service did not enhance the experience. Too many stellar other options in SF to prioritize this one.
Delicious pasta dishes, very accommodating of vegetarians, a well priced tasting menu and brilliant dessert too. Only thing to mind is that smell from kitchen can creep into the dining area.
