Top to bottom a pleasant high-end experience but note: markedly low tech for road warriors - rooms have very few outlets, no USB's. Wi-Fi is ok however and rooms have modern flat panel TV's.

Quiet rooms and comfortable beds. Needs a update though — not enough outlets for the modern traveler. Also the breakfasts at all Marriotts seem to have descended into chaos: poor service, bad food.
Beautiful old hotel but dated. Pluses: big rooms w/comfy beds & location Minuses: poor air ctrl in rooms, old decor, no wireless in rooms, lack of activity & personnel in lobby area is a bit creepy.
Room air conditioning is not great...it was in the 90's yesterday and mycroom never cooled down...engineering came but the front desk never switched my room....
