Garn and Sonny will take care of you in the bar. Great guys and great drinks. The lamb is excellent as well, and for low carb sides, don't miss the grilled artichoke hearts or Brussels sprouts.
Decent size rooms with a nice bathroom. Elevators are slow and take time. No lounge for Marriott status holders. Location is decent if you're there for AT&T and Georgia Tech. Better choices abound.
Not the nicest Renaissance I've been to. My room was oddly dusty like it hasn't been used for weeks. Took three tries to get me keys that would work in the elevator. An uneven visit.
The hotel offers a wine social 5-6pm. Platinum members get free breakfast, $10 daily minibar credit, and discountedrestaurant. An upgrade compared to the Marriott Midtown.

We stayed here when we went to the Paul McCartney concert at Piedmont Park. I don't know when I have ever been pampered like that at a hotel. Also, late nightroom service was excellent.
You should be able to use the pen on the desk to keep the bathtub drain crammed open. Otherwise, look forward to a case of athlete's ankle after your shower.
Staff at front desk are completely oblivious to their pet policy upon arrival...''Oh, we're checking on that for you''! Not very friendly either nor welcoming yet the valet is ok.
Terrible hotel - no bottles of water in the rooms or at gym, no mini-bar, AC in the rooms was loud like an electronicmusic club, the bulb in bathroom was flickering… Nooo nooo nooo!
Located in the arts and music district, Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel by Marriott offers pet-friendly accommodations, 4-star amenities, a rooftop restaurant and bar, meeting and event space and striking city views.
