Known for being a great bar and German restaurant, conveniently located across the street from Cha Cha Lounge, but it’s home to tasty brats and bockwurst. Their most popular plate, the sausage platterRead more
Sausage platter is a must try for any first-timer. Hofbräu on tap, and only in a liter mug/stein, otherwise it doesn't count as a beer. Dog friendlypatio.
If you have trouble choosing which sausage to order, your best bet is the mixed platter, with a selection of faultless bratwurst, knackwurst and lightly smoked bockwurst. Read more
This restaurant has a lot of character. I loved that the sections are so distinct: the indoor is kind of dive-y, the secluded patio is themed, & the larger patio is covered by trees and has views
Plenty of German beer on tap. There’s a dining room and an outdoor beer garden. German food is decent. Stick to the sausages. Small park lot. They check ids.
Second runner-up is the fragrant Nürnberger Bratwurst, made heady with earthy marjoram. One taste might take you back to the old country, even if you've never been there. Read more
First timers? German potato-pancake for vegetarians and 1/2 sausage platter and 1/2 cheese platter. Really hungry? Fried chicken dinner is the bomb diggitty.
Love this place on a warm summer day. Tends to get super busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Know what you want as soon as you sit down as you may not see your waitress for awhile.
Great German food! Upstairs outdoor patio reminded me of Sachsenhausen in Frankfurt, where I used to go many years ago! Good German Bier list & they have Appfelkorn!
Überlegit German joint. Superlative rooftopbeer garden. Potato pancakes, fried pickles and vegetarianbratwurst will knock your socks off. Their carnivorous fare is apparently delightful too. A+
Boiled potato is probably one of the least appetizing names you could give something but it is fucking delicious!!! Mix with some sauerkraut and red cabbage.
I'm from Austria and I must say that this beer garden makes me feel like at home. The wooden tables, the decoration, the glasses, the beers and the food - AUTHENTIC! Try the Red Lion Schnitzel. Yummy!
Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. Their generous portions of brat will make you blush, and the lederhosen-clad staff faithfully pour Köstritzer. Try them both.
