If you come here to celebrate New Year's Eve then bring protective eye wear, and it's a good idea to wear clothes it's ok to burn holes in. Some rockets and such end up among the spectators.- Copenhagen's former hay market when the town hall was at Gammeltorv/Nytorv. The western end of Strøget starts here. Lots of bus routes intersect here, and most night buses start from here.

The Town Hall Square is the Western center of Copenhagen. The Town Hall Square was Copenhagen's hay market when the previous town hall was located at Nytorv. Rådhuspladsen is the venue of events from celebration of the national football team to celebrating New Year's Eve and temporary exhibitions.
