Been here twice now and it's definitely one of my favorite bars in the city. There's like four levels to this place. Come here drunk and ready to dance the night away. The music is real good
Excellent Food! Great Musicx3 And the drinks are on point im really feeling the vibe is! Great name i see alot of peeps here from the area "public" huh? Lol bartender is cool and has great convo here!
Seeing the game is easy at Public Bar, with a 240-inch high definition projection screen and more than 30 other flat screens (and that’s just in the main bar). Read more
This is an awesome bar with an awesome atmosphere. I've been here for simple happy hours with friends and for wild nights...and they do get wild! The staff has always been super friendl
Went here on Tuesday for a catch-up happy hour with my girls and it just so happened to be trivia night. I usually don't participate in trivia but I decided to tonight. It was a lot of fun!
'm surprised by many of these reviews. I've always been a fan of Public. The roof deck provides a nice alternative to the sports bar. It's a good chill spot for hanging out with friends.
Best place to start or end the night. Always our go-to spot! 3rd floor at the rooftop is always packed and cramped but 1st and 2nd indoor bars are fun too
I like Public for their Happy Hour, especially over summer with their outdoor patio. The pricing is appropriate for its location and it looks like they have seating for snacks as well.
I'm new to the area. Originally from the tri-state area, I've been to a handful of good establishments. Public Bar was safe, clean and best of all, had great service.
I was in DC for business, and wanted to find a place to watch the Giants/Redskins game. Public Bar was recommended. They have a nice lounge with a HUGE projection TV
College bar atmosphere with excellent viewing selections for College Game Day! I went to go see some SEC football and was very pleased with their Saturday specials!
Public Bar isn't such a bad place for an after-work Happy hour - especially if you're looking for cheap drinks, bar snacks, and an rooftop seating that tends to go away rather quickly in DC.
Check-in at this Redskins Rally location on game day for $4 Grand Marnier and $4 Goldschlager ($7 together). Show your server the check-in screen to unlock the special!
Pay your tab with your iPhone or Droid with a free app called Tabbedout! No more leaving your credit card at the bar or waiting for your tab! Offered at Public Bar!
My husband & I were looking for a place to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs and we were at one place and I wasn't a fan of the food options so we wound up here
You can't miss this joint in Dupont Circle. Great music and a good atmosphere. Never tried the food but you can spot local athletes there often on Saturday nights. Redskins cheerleaders go there too
A good mix of both sports bar and neighborhood bar makes this a good spot to hang out if you wanna watch the game, or you have no interest in sports, if there is a big sporting event, or just a normal
Public Bar can keep you entertained during the lulls. There’s not one, but six, burgers to try. There’s a lounge upstairs with couches to give your stool-weary butt a rest.
Would go back for the ample TVs, not anything else. I was served a room-temp can of beer (though the waitress did change it out for a cold one when I asked), and the burger was pretty burnt and awful.
Prepare for an old timer post, where I rattle my cane and yell at the youngsters who blah blah blah don't know any better. The main room has a crazy amount of TVs
49 HDTVs & DCs largest 240" HD screen, you''ll never miss a game! 3 levels/5 bars, we're the perfect place to book your next event. Email events@publicbar.co
