My room was very comfortable, a/c, flat screen, and an amazing bed. Outdoor pool is kinda small. The cookies that you get at check-in are great. Hotel is right by the warf and pretty much center city
Great suite. Quiet. Good price & location. Jacks was good and spamassage was awesome. Staff treated us well. No complaints at all other than wish we had cheaper Internet. Worth the $ to valet park.
This LEED Silver, eco-friendly hotel teams up with the equally eco-conscious Central Coast winery J. Lohr for dinner. Try a 2012 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc served with smoked salmon Carpaccio. Read more
Got a free appetizer in the restaurant by checking in with Foursquare. Ckean, large room. Close to everything...you can walk to the pier, beach, cannery row & aquarium
Overall a gorgeous hotel AND smack dab in the middle of all the attractions we planned to visit. Only drawback was that there was no air conditioning ._. The pool was also a bit small
The couples package with a soak in the tub and a massage was just what we needed! We sipped champagne in the tub and then got amazing massages! Pricey, but worth it! Read more
Ted conference use to be here. The place is great. Just by the wharf and right inside the city center. Drinks and restaurant are great. And they have fantastic omelette for breakfast.
Not sure if worth the 4 stars. Rooms ok but spa and pool facilities are in a separate building - you need to cross a touristy walkway. No bathrobes in the room. Restrooms in public area not maintained
Hotel has a premier location by Fisherman's Wharf and Peter B's Brewery. My room was hot and it was very noisy (because I was above the pool and next to the highway). I wish the Internet was free.
Room is the furthest away from the elevator and a huge walk. TV does not work. Front desk slow to respond. Otherwise it's a beautiful hotel, Keurig coffee maker in room and a great hair dryer.
The cookie was nice, but the city of Monterey enacted a fee on hotels close to the conference center, which means you pay for a facility you probably aren't using when staying here. AND no free WiFi.
Disappointed in the hotel. Did not receive maid service. Room keys did not work on 2nd day and we were locked out of our room and was charged $17 parking fee each time we left hotel. Will not return.
Do not get a room facing Pacific St if you want to sleep. Noise from foot traffic and passing cars is horrible. It's 2am and finally starting to calm down.
Inspired by the Monterey Peninsula’s natural beauty and nautical heritage, the Portola Hotel & Spa is a step outside the ordinary. If our hotel & spa is not ideal for you then you may want to try one of our other locations ( Jacks Monterey && Peter B's Brewpub )...
