DC's best bookstore for bibliophiles. This is the shop you see so often on CSPAN Book TV. Awesome indie selection, great staff, curated book groups, very nice coffeehouse downstairs -- but not cheap.

The staff’s knowledge and love of their books is the best around.
Great author talks, but also great when not crowded and you can just sit and tap away on your laptop.

Frank StonehouseJuly 18, 2013Nice, but Internet is cut off during lunch time which staff said is between 11am and 3pm. I guess this frees up tables for customers buying food and not just sipping and surfing. A bit inconvenient.

Absolutely love this bookstore, and they are always hosting interesting talks. The coffee is pretty decent too.

Sale books are downstairs! They always have a great selection. If for some reason they don't have a book they'll order it for you. :-)
