- Ben RichSeptember 12, 2014I ordered the Plow because I figured you can't go wrong with the signature breakfast and I was not disappointed. This was the best breakfast I have had in the states. Well worth the line up!!
- Joel CorpusNovember 11, 2014I'm not a carb eater but hands down the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had! So crispy! Other standouts are the chia seed pudding and almond flour pancakes!
- The wait at Plow can get over two hours (especially on the weekends), so be sure to put your name down ahead of time (or plan to wait)—the brunch potatoes are a must, but you can't order anything bad.
- Brian ParkAugust 15, 2016Long wait but deservedly so; It's the best brunch spot in SF for a reason. Their housemade Pork Sausage patties, Nueske's Bacon, and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are outstanding
- Nick HsslgrvApril 12, 2016Best breakfast in the city hands down. Worth the wait if you bring your own mimosas and coffees to sip on out on the curb. Pro tip: Put your name in and then walk up to the top of Potrero hill. View.
- AFAR MediaAugust 12, 2014This is an excellent place for brunch & more than worth the wait for a table. The founders not only have a passion for food, as you can see from the cool exterior seating, they also have great taste. Read more
- Anna LFebruary 12, 2014Orange cake is zomg good. Plow breakfast is also a great deal..good way to try all their popular items including the gf almond pancakes, housemade sausage and crispy potatoes :) yumm
- Mariana BernasconiFebruary 26, 2016Amazing almond pancakes! Gluten free to boot! The coffee gets refilled quickly and I honestly cannot think of a better way to start the day! Missing good vegan options though.
- Aleksandra GarbaczSeptember 8, 2016Probably cannot get any more hipster than Plow, but crowds of moustaches outside are absolutely right about the place. We had an amazing brunch - eggs, apple sausage and lemon ricotta pancakes.
- Diana ArzMarch 22, 2016Plow was delish. Potatoes are the star. Pork sausage was a better choice than chicken Apple. Get side of bacon. A bit overhiped, but very good breakfast food. Come on weekday, prepare to wait, pricey.
- Rebecca MaldonadoSeptember 5, 2016My highlight was the Hong Kong style toast, decadent! We also had the lemon ricotta pancakes and french toast...but, they were okay. It's a very small place, hence the long wait.
- Jenny NewJune 18, 2018The lemon ricotta pancakes are so scrumptious. For the best deal, share The Plow. Just know that there is ALWAYS!! a wait and the outdoor seating is usually a bit chilly.
- Kajsa BengtsonFebruary 9, 2020Everything except the waiting line. The granola and yogurt is a great alternative if you’re not in to heavy stuff like pancakes and sandwiches. No green juices :(
- Justin McKissickSeptember 12, 2015I got the Plow, a full breakfast with eggs, bacon/sausage, lemon ricotta pancakes, and the best breakfast potatoes I've had in awhile. Worth the long wait!
- Michael SmithMarch 31, 2019Totally thought this was a night club in a drunken night out. Came in to dance, left with a belly full of eggs and bacon. 10/10 would get jiggy with it again.
- Pavan KulkarniAugust 15, 2017Breakfast potatoes were perfect and egg sandwich was yummilicious. The wait is a longer than an hour on weekends . So reserve and walk to the ramp to chill with some beers and ship dockyard view.
- The brunch potatoes are a must, even if they don't come with your meal. Also, the fried egg sandwich and French toast are phenomenal. Really though, everything is outstanding. You can't go wrong.
- Shruthi GowdaAugust 13, 2017Lemon ricotta pancakes are phenomenal. I had the plow, the home made pork sausage patties are flavourful however I didn't like the poached eggs (it was completely cooked) the fried potatoes are yummy.
- Chad BNovember 30, 2014Since it was my first time here, I went with The Plow. Crispy potatoes, eggs cooked over easy and almondbutter pancakes. Great meal to start your day.
- Nikhil VartyNovember 30, 2022The breakfast is great… many fun choices… no espresso and warm drinks is a negative… the door open policy due to Covid but without providing any heat is a killer
- Miguel Tejada-FloresApril 3, 2018Breakfast. Brunch. Lunch. Classic 'American Cooking', an almost meaningless term, redefined in terms of bite after delicious bite. One you go here, you keep coming back...it's that good.
- Jenny UngMarch 25, 2016The breakfast potatoes were the best I've ever had. Lemon ricotta pancakes were good too, so was the coffee. Lovely brunch spot in charming neighborhood, a must try!

- Sharon WuMay 16, 2018Worth the wait? Maybe! The cornbread is (good) heavy, scrambled eggs were over cooked, the sausage was juicy, and the plow potatoes were to die for! The lemon ricotta pancakes could use more zest.
- Simon SylvestNovember 5, 2016Went there on a Saturday noon. Really busy - but the que went fast. Super local and vibrant atmosphere. Ok food. The whole area around 18th and Texas is really cool
- Lauren MacAugust 4, 2016Wow. Best brunch I've had in SF. Don't miss The Plow -- lemon ricotta pancakes, moist eggs, and crispy potatoes.
- Angel FuSeptember 7, 2015We got here around 12 on a Saturday and the wait was about one hour (for 2 people). I got The Plow, and the lemon ricotta pancakes and homemade sausages are absolutely amazing!
- Noah WeissFebruary 27, 2015The perfect egg breakfast sandwich with slabs of bacon on top. This is the quintessential SF brunch spot.
- Chetna PannuJanuary 27, 2017Their potatoes are delicious just like everyone mentioned. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was yummy and quite filling.
- Josh PylesNovember 15, 2014Food is very good, but not a big fan of the wait. Go on a weekday and get the Plow – it's their greatest hits on one plate.
- Sit at the bar and watch the spectacular operation that is the open kitchen. For food you need to go all in and get The Plow (with the house made sausage).
- Brad TMay 11, 2014Great food all around. Avoid the crowd/wait and do a late brunch around 1:30ish. Sit in 30, grab a grapefruit mamosa while u wait, eat 15 mins after you order. Done. Now go take a nap.
- Phui Leng ChanFebruary 11, 2017Go for the Plow! Awesome lemon ricotta pancakes and the house made sausage patties! Best brunch I've ever had!
- Jole PDecember 29, 2017The plow plate has the best of everything - definitely try their house made sausage and the lemon ricotta pancakes are the best thing you'll ever eat
- Ashley MowreyJuly 5, 2015It will a 90% chance of an hour wait. 100% delicious pancakes and breakfast potatoes. Is it worth the wait? Hard to know considering by the time you get your food you're famished. Those potatoes tho.
- Try everything. Amazing fried egg sandwich, BLT, cold smoked salmon toast and etc etc. you won't be disappointed!
- Jimmy HookerAugust 7, 2014My favorite breakfast place in San Francisco. Get their namesake dish, so, so good. The waits are brutal, but worth it. Those lemon ricotta pancakes...
- Ramzi L.February 1, 2017This is probably one of the best breakfast places I've ever been to. I order over medium eggs, homemade fries and toast which you would nothing nothing special about them, rich flavor and satisfying.
- Beyond yummy potatoes. Seriously, you'll dream about them. Can't go wrong with the Plow plate. Be prepared to wait but I promise, the potatoes (or lemon ricotta pancakes) are worth it.
- StephanySeptember 9, 2018Somehow this place is actually worth the wait. Got a bene and shared a salad and both were unreal. The smashed then friend potatoes are like whoa.
- Best breakfast potatoes in San Francisco. Long, long wait, so hop across the street for the strongest Bloody Mary to pass the time.
- Jacy LiMarch 9, 2017Their potato are super yummy and crispy. Plow seems to update their menu every other time. Crazy lines even on weekday mornings. 😲
- adriana castroNovember 21, 2016The plow and the avocado toast are heavenly must try. Service is very good worth every minute wait
