- KinoNovember 11, 2014I tried the Tartufata (black truffle pate). 16" is a perfect two person size. I liked the thin Neapolitan crust. It was tasty, but I wouldn't consider it one of NYC's best. Draft beer: Moretti only.
- Joan ParkDecember 23, 2014order the michele: love that they don't skimp on the mushrooms and you really can't go wrong with truffle. pairs nicely with the diavola (spicy salami). the fried calamari is nothing special.
- Law DaddyJuly 20, 2014Love the seats in the back by the kitchen/oven. You can see all of the masterpieces enter and exit the brick oven. Make a reservation.
- Nico AntonioMarch 3, 2023They basically ruined this place with their move from EV > Houston to become more trendy. The amazing gnocchi is moved their sister restaurant. The pizza sold at Luzzos is more fast eats aiming
- I think the best pizza in NYC. Get a buffala pizza and you'll thank me. And them. Them more. It's the lightest, freshest pizza you'll enjoy outside of Napoli.
- B ChuMay 14, 2013Tried the 12'' pizza with Truffle Pate. Just good to fill up 2 hungry souls. Dough had a chewy bite and thickness' just right. Be sure to eat right away ! No reservation req on a weekday night.
- AmateurConciergeJuly 18, 2015Solid sit down Neapolitan style pizza. Not worth going out of your way, but a solid neighborhood option. I like the Diavola with cherry peppers added.
- Jessica LokumkiattikulAugust 27, 2012The spicy salami pizza with ricotta is AMAZING! crust was flaky and perfect. The fresh ricotta and spicy olive oil was absolutely delicious. But the restrooms are disgusting!! Cash and Amex only.
- Garett PressAugust 7, 2014Shocked it's on so many "best of" lists. Keste and Motorino blow this one out of the water as far as Neapolitan pizza goes.
- Jinnie LOctober 15, 2014had a wonderful lunch here :) pizza was really good♥ try bufala(best neapolitan pizza ever) & martha. so yummy!!!
- HashtagNYUMarch 10, 2016Serving up thin Napoli-style pizza, this joint is right around the corner from Motorino's. Cool ambience but fire-y crust makes for the perfect meal!
- CarmenApril 21, 2011The pizzas are absolutely delicious, easily the best I've had in my life. The waiters are nice and friendly and so is the atmosphere, the place is highly recomendable
- Emilio VitoloDecember 30, 2014This is Neapolitan pizza done the right way ..without a doubt one of my favorite authentic italian pizza places
- Jill MorminoOctober 27, 2012The pizza is outstanding, time after time.. Absolutely blows away lots of other top rated pizza in NYC... Never disappoints. Their food is great too....
- Amanda TheilerMarch 1, 2015$12-17 for 12in, $21-25 for 16in. 12in is enough for 2 if you're getting an app or desserts. 16in for 2 if super hungry, but it's pretty huge. indoor only.
- Christina ChinApril 13, 2019Grandma style with good crunch to crust...doesnt flop, kinda salty due to sopressata
- Dana FlynnNovember 10, 2014Delicious artichoke appetizer. Great pizzas. Go for the bigger size, you know you want to
- Tudor LeuMay 14, 2012No-frills Neapolitan pizza. Thin crust, great flavor. The Ripieno is nice. Pro tip: their pasta is also delicious.
- Michelle GabeMay 10, 2015Every pizza is amazing. I've never been disappointed. Go to pizza for us is the tarfurata / cash and Amex only
- Ben RAugust 8, 2014Neapolitan pies but not as soupy as other places. The classic margherita is a near perfect pie.
- M TFebruary 21, 2013Good pizza but beware of the cockroaches crawling around! We found one on the wall once and the waiter was like whatever and walked away! Also make sure your glasses are clean- lipstick stains are ew!
- Pratheeksha KSNovember 21, 2017Quick and great service, quiet, and nice decor. Enjoyed my solo dinner
- Meghan OSeptember 26, 2011If Luzzo's regular margarita pie is always that good, I am going to become a regular in no time. Friendly service and perfect pizza are the norm here :)
- B ChuMay 20, 2013Must try the Tartufata (truffle) pizza ! 12" for $18. rmb to tip since not included in bill (NB not open on Mon)
- Juston PayneFebruary 3, 2012Luzzo's used to be amazing. Now it's just really good (the rumor is they had to change their oven in some way). The sauce is a tangy and interesting, but the crust lacks the fluff it used to have.
- FoodspottingDecember 12, 2010There are only five pizzas worth eating in New York & Luzzo’s is amongst them. Nothing beats their standard gooey margarita pie. - Soraya
- Laura ToolanApril 27, 2014Get the large. There's no such thing as too much. The tartufata is incredible
- They have the best homemade desserts and pastas! Yum! The walls and ceiling are pretty cool too!
- P. Y. M.March 17, 2012One of the few coal oven pizza joints left and worth going. The Diavola is too legit to quit!
- BYOB with only a $15 corkage fee! Bring a bottle of Prosecco and a bottle of Sangiovese.
- Rich WisneskiDecember 19, 2011Order the gragnano. It is magical. The pizza's are divine, and the gnochhis are tiny clouds of wonderment.
- One of the best pizzas in the city and one of the few that are allowed to serve coal oven pizza.
- Loren MattiaFebruary 2, 2012Amazing classic neapolitan pie combined with a nice glass of red wine, Che bello!
- Angela WuMay 27, 2012Keep a sharp eye on your plate if you're not finished eating. Speedy service staff may snatch it away in the blink of an eye!
- Best authentic Napoletana pizza th US! Hands down! You will want to come here and check it out!
- PizzaSnobo pizzasnobo.comJanuary 26, 2011More toasted and crunchy than other Neapolitan places that pop up all over the city. And the atmosphere is good too.
- JessicaNovember 24, 2014Love being entertained by Italian game shows on Rai while waiting for pizza!
