Alison Edwards: This railway starts from the Peasholm Park area, you can catch it outside the Glass House Cafe. It runs in most weathers and will take you to the Sea Life Centre.
Alison Edwards: Go on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. You can pick it up at Pickering and travel to Whitby. Stopping at a number of small stations on the way.

Alison Edwards: 90% of the facilities here are under cover. Great place to take children. Indoor play area, indoor picnic area, indoor animals centres and lots of fun to be had even on the worst of days.
